This game goes deep, and it's fun journey of exploration. I really appreciate a game rewarding intelligent problem solving, experimentation, and exploration instead of assuming ignorance and holding my hand. I didn't think I'd be translating an entire language while playing this, but it was very rewarding. I feel more intelligent for playing this game, and we need more games like that. Regardless, some of the late game puzzles could use more hints (including an extra hint I required to translate the language). None of those puzzles are required for finishing the game, but they are required for 100% completion.

Fun game. I like it. However, high stakes feel too RNG-dependent. Losing a good run to a single stroke of bad luck isn't fun and makes me want to throw my keyboard into my monitor...again. That really needs to be fixed.

I LOVE this game.

It's an adorable game full of adorable characters (I liked them all!). It's full of wholesome lesbian couples and positive transgender representation. It feels very relatable and validating. ^_^ <3

It's not a particularly difficult game (I played on the hardest difficulty and only experienced three KOs and zero battles lost the entire game), and characters are pre-cast into roles (healer, fighter, spellcaster, and tank), but this game isn't about the challenge in my opinion. It's about the story.

Praise the Omnissiah! He has blessed us with a 40k game that isn't full of angry machine spirits and corruptive xenos tech-heresy.

I've only played through the early-to-mid game so far, but this game is great. It's not perfect, and there are a few bugs, but there are no game-breaking bugs in my opinion. I like the characters in this game. Omnissiah forbid that I care for them too much. I must compartmentalize those emotions. Also, the music is just amazing. Probably the best part of this game is the music. A treat to the auditory sensors.

I feel this is a great game for 40k fans and a decent introduction into the 40k universe for newcomers.

Review 11/3/21 (~118 hours): This game is a lot of fun. Rich, engaging gameplay and lore. A friendly online community, fun weapons, challenging enemies for all levels of skill, and best of all, at the time of this writing, zero predatory monetization! Worst it has is cosmetic DLC, but the base game has a lot of good cosmetics that are easy to unlock. What more could you ask for?

A fun and surprisingly-forgiving roguelike (until you play the Witch class), Dicey Dungeons offers up a charming atmosphere full of unique, fun, and interesting characters displayed in a cartoonish art style.

The gameplay revolves around using dice rolls to perform attacks or activate abilities with one of the five unique classes. Dice manipulation mechanics help to mitigate the potential problems this RNG-based mechanic may introduce, though in the end, you will still be at the mercy of your dice rolls. However, the game is pretty forgiving for the most part, especially with the save system that allows you to replay combats and pick up where you left off.

The first three or so classes are also pretty easy to learn with most of the other classes being challenging but fair. This changes with the Witch class, however. The spell mechanic of the Witch, despite being fun, is very difficult to master and provides a difficulty spike, especially in the later episodes. Expect a true, difficult roguelike experience as you'll die many times as the Witch, often to one bad encounter or unfavorable RNG.

Nonetheless, the game is an engaging with an enjoyable narrative that will have you see your gang of dice adventurers battle for their desires against Lady Luck herself. It's definitely worth a play, especially for those who want to get into roguelikes but are intimidated by the difficulty that genre generally provides.

Short but good. End levels are challenging, but not unfair. Music is catchy. Demon girls are cute as heck! I want a harem of cute demon girls now!!!!

It's nice to see the developer stand for the community on fair use of it's product. I never agree with cheating online, and never will, but I will never agree with draconian solutions. The fact that Rockstar is listening to the community and trying to preserve single-player modding while keeping it off the multiplayer portion is impressive and pleasing. Many companies would just refuse to work with the consumer, and this may have been the case with Take Two if Rockstar had not come in.

Bravo, Rockstar. My negative review is rescinded, and I look forward to playing this game if my laptop can run it.
