Dethrone update fixes a TON of bugs. The game looks and feels much better.
Compared to Audiosurf 1, mono in this game is actually fun and rewarding. Not to mention, with Dethrone update, it's even more reactive to music changes. I cannot wait for the full version release of this game, already a big step up from Audiosurf 1.

EDIT: Picking this up after a while, and one thing I don't like: There's no control over gamepad vibration, nor any way to turn it completely off. Come on, not everyone likes the darned thing vibrating throughout the entire song. It's highly distracting, not to mention annoying because it uses 100% force instead of mild vibrations.
