This is the worst UI I have ever encountered. Everything takes place in microscopic windows in the corner of the screen. There is no option to use the old UI and no mods either. RTW was the first videogame I ever played and I was excited to finally try the Remaster. Sad to see them ♥♥♥♥ up this badly in one of the core aspects of the game. I loved to just sit on the map and click through all the different windows to read the descriptions of building, units and characters. The new UI makes this part of the game utterly unenjoyable and I do not recommend it to anyone who liked the old UI.
