Until they optimise it for PC I wouldn't remotely recommend it. There is undoubtedly a fun game to be experienced but right now, the performance seems absolutely abysmal.

Will re-review when they sort this out, but given the fact they allowed it to be released in this state. I'm not remotely convinced that is even possible.

Update: I've managed to wrangle reasonable performance out of the game running in 1920x1080 with largely high settings (though shadows on low) and with all the motion blur etc turned off as well as V-sync (though enabled in the Nvidia Panel) on a i7 9700K 32GB RAM and 3070ti GPU. Which has reduced the frame hitching to some degree. However, with that said. I've had the game hard lock on me three times now during cut scenes in Koboh with there being no option of than to shut the game down in Task manager and then restart. If you are going to play, make sure you save regularly before story points.

Update further to patch (23.05.01). Definitely much improved performance for me with the patch, running at 1440p with everything set to Epic save shadows (high) motion blur disabled, Raytracing off, FSR set to performance. Generally getting 55-60 FPS for the most part.

Much love for the Lego Games, but unfortunately this title just doesn't want to play ball with W11 and modern hardware. I tried a few things out as suggested in the discussion, playing around with system resolution, compatibility mode and admin control, but sadly no dice.

If anyone knows of any solutions please let me know.

100%'d it. Took around 6 hours overall. Had a good time with it. If you enjoyed Limbo & Inside, I think you know what to expect. A bit more forgiving in the being squished stakes versus those two, and the mechanics were kind of cool. Full price? It's a 6 hour game so YMMV, bit if not now then down the road. Beautiful Art Style and direction as well.

Albeit I've sunk an enormous amount of time into the game and have really enjoyed it for what it is, which is more Open World Deus Ex: Human Revolution than a strict RPG I would honestly suggest people give it a couple of months (say end of Feb 2021) for the developers to patch out the bugs that currently plague the game. I haven't encountered much that I would class as 'game breaking', but there are definitely a few wrinkles that CDP need to iron out yet. With that said, I'm not going to suggest 'wait for a sale' as the game is worth the asking price in terms of content, scope and ambition, it's just a little under-cooked in its present state is all.

Stellar narrative RPG experience. There really isn't much out there to touch it. The only negative I'd say is that once you have played Disco Elysium other RPGs are going to feel pretty mundane in comparison.

I remember seeing early footage of this title a year or so back and being intrigued by both the setting, the storytelling and the game play systems so I kept tabs on it and I'm glad to say that it lived up to my expectations in all three regards. Plus it's a truly beautiful looking game on top of everything else. I look forward with anticipation to see what the developers follow it up with next, and I hope that come awards season it gets some attention in terms of nominations at the very least.

Well worth both the time and the money. Highly recommended.

There's a good game in here, but unfortunately in my experience the game is prone to regular locks up and crashes. Mayhap if the developer release a stable build I'll re-evaluate this review, but right now I'd say buyer beware.

Personally I was a tad skeptical about NMS prior to launch, however at the same time I did think it was an intriguing project and albeit it didn't necessarily deliver on all of the promises at launch, since then Hello Games have been quite tireless in bringing more and content and complexity to the experience.

Although I'm not sure I'd necessarily quantify NMS as a game in the strictest sense, it is certainly something I'd recommend people experience. There is wonder and joy to be gleamed from it.

If you haven't played in a while or have held off on it. I highly recommend jumping in when there's an expedition event, as they're good way to learn about the games systems as well as fast track a starting character.

7 years and still rocking. GJ Hello Games.

Short and sweet step up from Life is Strange that definitely has me excited to see where the developers take us with Life is Strange 2

Sin City meets Rashamon in a choice and consequence style interactive novel with Match 3 gameplay as the platform for the combat mechanics. There are basically four tales to be told in relation to the Protagonist each story basically branches in relation to the choices you make, whilst also serving the purpose of rounding out your backstory and how you factor into the world.

Overall I rreally dug this. The Look and feel was great (though the iconography on the match 3 game could do with some work) and music/VO was decent. The game itself does feel like it could do with being a bit more rounded out, but I enjoyed trying out different things and learning about the protagonist.

Would like to see further titles like this for sure, perhaps building on the good work done here.
