I put almost 60 hours into the beta, and I have nothing but praise for this game. It's everything I've ever wanted in a plat fighter, and it's not made by Nintendo. The devs are heavily involved in the community, so the competitive scene will no doubt be amazing like the original's was.

The movement is incredible. The sound design is incredible. The art direction, animations, and vfx are all incredible. It adds to the classic smash formula without over-complicating it.

If you're an avid plat fighter player, this is a MUST play. It's the closest to Melee/PM that you're gonna get. Also, all future characters are free!
