Even after a few months after release I still once in a while come back to play this, much like I did with the Original RE2 copy I have, as well as both the HD Remaster and the Original RE1. Capcom really did this game justice, bringing back such a familiar place from my childhood and yet making it so much more fun then I remember.

Obviously I was with some doubts, I was one of those who preferred the fixed camera angles. But the over the shoulder RE4 angle really works here, still giving the suspense perfectly and not knowing what's around.

My issue with the game though is a little trivial. Now I know the different scenarios take place at the same time with slight differences, but I do think that was illustrated better in the original than here. For example (and I realised not a lot of people knew this going in) Mr. X is only supposed to appear in the 2nd scenario of whoever you play as, not the first, he was supposed to be a surprise and a game changer. I would've preferred if they kept that and those other setups from the original.

Nonetheless, I had a great time with it, and man those lickers are fantastic, I can't just camp them like I used to with the shotgun anymore here lol. I would recommend this game for sure.
