It's pretty much vibes based, you need to try out every unit before actually know how they attack and what the numbers actually mean and kinda figure out what happens in every fight.
I like it but it's vibes based gameplay, you need to enjoy vibes based games.

It's interesting, it gets the message across, but some elements work against it.
It's free, check it out.

Spoilers (for a less than an hour long game):

There's an option on the menu to check out each ending you've completed. All endings but one are your character failing and getting killed.
If you want to see everything that the game has to offer, you'll kill this woman by failing in every way you can think of.
You'll also get an achievement for every ending, and it's the only way to 100% this game.

I know you can simply not do those endings, but having an achievement tied to them, and having a menu option to revisit those deaths robs a lot of its messaging. You're rewarding the player with more content.

What a game. If you like detective-discovery-puzzly type games, like Outer Wilds, Return of the Obra Dinn or Curse of the Golden Idol, this is for you.

It's a puzzle roguelike somehow, and it works.

Very fun adaptation of the classic Metal Slug gameplay to another genre.

You have to move as much as you can instead of the usual cowering behind objects in games like XCOM. There's also no random elements, it's very similar to Into the Breach.

It becomes very challenging on higher difficulties, some turns you'll have to retry several times.

Absurdly addictive, a very simple premise with very deep management.

You will die a lot.

Early Access Review
Really like the concept, but it's so slow it almost gave me a stroke. Its early access so I hope the devs add higher speeds because turns take waaay too long.
