It's more Supraland, so if you liked the original you'll like this one. Explore, solve puzzles, unlock upgrades and have a few battles here and there.

Even with the high positive review count I was still somewhat sceptical about the game. As it turns out it really is a good game.

First of all the game really looks great, from the general world to the characters, especially the character you play as. With driving your bike being a large part of the game, having everything look nice is a huge plus. Speaking of driving your bike, I feel this might actually be the highlight of the game, it's just so much fun. There is fast travelling in the game but I only used it once, I always just drove so my destinations due to it being so engaging. Upgrading the bike is also fun, making it go faster or just looking a bit more badass.

The story itself was also actually quite good, with interesting characters and different storylines. For an open wold type game it's definitely up there for me personally, it's no RPG but still. I do however feel there are some loose ends but nothing to major, hopefully a sequel someday?

Combat was also quite good, fighting individual zombies was quite easy but as soon as they start grouping up things can get hairy quite quickly. There are lots of different guns, throwables and some upgrades for them. However after I found a primary weapon I liked I never really felt the need to buy any of the other weapons and try them out. I rather saved my money to buy ammo, you need a lot when fighting the hordes, or upgrades for my bike.

Overall highly recommend it.

Going into the game I had muted expectations due to the open world the game was going for, scared the signature metro dark tunnels would go away. Luckily the open regions in the game were well done, with side missions and equipment upgrades scattered around enticing you to explore. The more normal metro levels also make a return just as good as in the previous instalments. Dark tunnels filled with suspense, monsters, radiation and you wondering why you don't have any more ammo.

Exodus also has the best character development so far in the series, with various opportunities for you to just listen to your squad and their stories as you travel across the lands. Different cults and gangs in the outside world and how they had to adapt to try and survive. Your choices against these outside parties affect your squad and ultimately you... deciding all of your fates by the end of the game.

Definitely replaying this when I replay the previous games again

Carrion is a game about a biomass trying to escape containment and in the process you kill lots of people and consume them to allow yourself to grow larger and gain new abilities to help you progress further in the containment/research facility. You end up ripping people in half spraying blood everywhere and a once clean room you entered ends a nice red when you leave.

The game definitely has it's more action like moments where you get to kills lots of people but most of the time its more of a puzzle game where you have to try and figure out how to open doors or the like to progress. It isn't that difficult, you might die once or twice but that's about it. I would say the most difficult part is actually just sometimes you get lost and you're not sure where you are suppose to go next and you end up travelling in circles.

I would definitely recommend the game, it's' about 4 hours and every moment was a lot of fun. Based on the ending there if a possibility for a sequel and I really hope this ends up being the case.

Early Access Review
Bright Memory reminds me a lot of Shadow Warrior with fast melee and gun fighting. You pull off combos to maximise your score to gain as much experience as possible to unlock new abilities. The game definitely has potential but the current version is quite rough around the edges. Luckily it has been confirmed that a full version of the game is in development that will hopefully take everything present here and dial it up a notch, fleshing out the story and characters more and improving the current systems.

You are tasked with restoring the world of colour that has been robbed of it by darkness. As you progress you keep adding additional colours to the world making it more beautiful and adding an unique gameplay mechanic each time with it. The game is very relaxing and there are rarely scenarios where pixel perfect platforming it required. It's all about the journey and experiencing the world healing itself. Highly recommend the game.
