Addictive and amazing. Another good 'netbook game'. (i.e. Good gaming value at low processor overhead.)

A stellar remix of the 'tower defence' genre.

A simple, fun action game, reminiscent of light-cycle duel (Tron) and/or that old windows game where you divide the screen to isolate bouncing balls, but made into a fantasy setting. Huh. Tough to describe, but a lot of fun for the 10 - 15 hrs you will likely play it.

A good 'netbook game'.

Do you like DDR / rhythm games? Particularly the finger derivatives (i.e. Stepmania)? Do you like RPG / Puzzle genre benders? (i.e. Puzzle Quest)

If you answered 'Yes' to either of those questions (bonus points for 'Yes' to both), then you will ALSO like Sequence. 'Love' might be the correct verb there.

Ever felt like becoming God? Slowly grow from a self-aware asteroid into a planet, into a star, into a star SYSTEM, into an all-consuming sentient BLACK HOLE!

There's also lots of other fun along the way... Destroy a planet full of skunks. Subdue a race of space-faring dinosaurs. Host an intergalactic light show / rock concert. Crush any solar system that gets in your way...

Also: it's a $10 game made by a one-man indie studio. I support that!

For those that haven't tried it, Magicka is a third-person action-adventure affair that LOOKS like a Diablo-esque dungeon crawler. The fundamental difference is that magic use is not limited to a traditional 'Magic Point' (MP) system. You have control of 8 elemental magics that can be combined and cast as often and as fast as your fingers are able to type.

The brilliance lies in the mixing of your elemental magics... ever wondered what steam + fire + lightning would do to your enemies? A stone + frost + water sword enchantment? What would an arcane + lightning + stone shield look like? The 8 (10, if counting derivatives) magics can be combined into 5 slots to form thousands (no, that's not a hyperbole) of different magical attacks / defenses / effects / etc. Despite the limitless magic casting potential, the game is punishing, with waves of enemies that you will be frantically blasting left, right, and centre...

I would particularly recommend trying the campaign mode in co-op play.
