Pros:
Mini boss are unique with varied attack patterns and had quite a lot of fun challenging them.
Spirit system which basically allows you to equip three different sorts of attacks.
Some places are extremely well hidden and requires you to perform intricate combo to "fly" through the air to reach them.

Cons
Game length may be a bit short for others though it was good for me.
(Avg game time of 15-20 hours in HowLongToBeat)
Claw and heal combo was kinda broken which led to the end boss fight being a little anti climatic.
I was definitely hoping for the original spirit to be much stronger after collecting all the ancient souls but it was a little underwhelming.

Overall:
Definitely among top 3 Metroidvania alongside Hollow Knight and Bloodstained:ROTN. Same vibes as HK so players looking for something similar can check this out. Love the relic and spirit system which is similar to HK charms and notches. Definitely recommend.

A more polished version of assassin creed origin. You have three separate questline and the focus of the game is for you to explore the world. If you are trying to engage in the main story though, be warned that it may be rather frustrating. The fact that exp boost exist as a cash item means that your progress is scaled poorly. You might find yourself having to do some side quests to level up before continuing the main ones. The side quests are more engaging compared to origins but it is still annoying when you are invested in the main story trying to find out what happens next and you have to grind side quest.

The game borrows a lot from witcher 3 yet in w3 you never had to feel like you have to grind. Both have atrocious horse mechanics. And both have the "choose your own options" gameplay available. Honestly, this makes little sense to me because geralt, kassandra/ alexios are such well defined characters that it defeats the purpose of the choosing your own options because you know some options are just out of character and actually breaks the immersion.

You play the game as a misthios (contract for hire), killing or doing side job for money, yet the main character is afflicted by destiny and fate to be a hero etc. I believe that a good story can be written without involving the mian character in wars, national politics and gigantic stuff which obviously does not happen to the everyday person. This may be a personal preference but I believe that open world games are best designed if you are part of it, trying to live and survive within it. Not there to change it and revolutionize the whole world.

In one of the questline you get to fight epic bosses, but the whole story and ending makes little sense. The "real world" should just be chucked out, I don't even see a point for it anymore.

Also, it seems rather strange that you don't feel like an assassin in the game. It is a good game, just not a good assassin creed game.

On a side note, this game is apparenty still updating. The devs will be adding more stuff so some of the criticism may not hold.

A game made for the devs. They envisioned and put a lot of stuff in that were probably considered good. But failed to translate it properly for the audience. This is not a rant made by another batman franchise fan. I barely touched the other series because I actually prefer 2D games to 3D. Metroidvania is also one of my favourite genre. But they absolutely butchered it.

The 2.5D map is actually atrocious and the worst offense in the game. You keep fighting the same mob over and over. Thrice I was trying to leave the administration area by the second exit and had to deal with the same mobs. Some puzzles are just too frustrating where playing the game feels almost physically painful.

I get that it's batman and the whole theme has to be dark and gritty but this clashes with the metroidvania and puzzle theme as most stuffs are too dark to see properly. Which is then "solved" by just endless detective mode. This is a problem because you don't know if you are unable to progress because you didn't engage detective mode or because it is a metroidvania and you are required to go to other area as you are lacking some abilities. Confused is the state of mind for most part of the game. And this is me trying to play the entire game in one shot. Imagine someone who is busy and can only play games for an hour, once a week. They will be absolutely lost.

Then there is the endless inane duct and tunnel crawling. And the crypto sequence is the same thing over and over again. The story itself and the boss fights are pretty good though. But the whole running around, prelude before the final fight doesn't even make sense, just go to the final fight directly after defeating the first three boss.

Don't get me wrong, the game did it's best working within the limitations of the theme, the genres and the puzzles. It's just that these restrictions are severely gimping any fun that could be realized.

A game is made for the players, not the devs.

Very artistic game. Puzzles are relatively simple. Not for everyone.
Not sure why some of the achivements are hidden, you would want players to actively sought those out.

Very good. Everthing that you expect it to be. With the exception that animals have no sex. No breeding programmes either. These two could made for more interesting gameplay.

Some explanations regarding how to run the aquarium would be good if given. The wiki is severely lacking. The game claims that mixing different types of fishes around allows you to rank up quicker but how by how much, and how many types of fishes would contribute to how many percentage increase in points? These systems if explained clearer will allow the player to tackle the brutal difficulty tactfully.

Moving to difficulty, it seems that it scales inversely with money earned. Which is kind of lazy. I think better ways to optimize difficulty would be to determine the level of handholding for player. E.g. easy gives you tips and warn you if you are placing animals that are dying. Things are automated like staff levelling (on a side note, constantly having to level staff is pretty annoying. A checkbox which checks "level this attribute in the future?" would be very convenient.) Easy mode warns you if animals are incompatible and is pretty much guided. Normal just gives the usual tips and allows for guide option to be on or off. Hard requires you to determine everything. All the prices to ticket price and staff zone (should be in hard i think) but still gives you some flexibility to play around and try different things. Brutal requires you to determine maximal profits and requires you to look at reports and earnings to set entry fee and vendor fee etc.

Moving to level designs. Some are pretty well done i think. The later levels are honestly kind of draggy and the themes are mostly a non-factor. It would be better if the level themes could severely restrict the player. The "cold" aquarium level where you get more chilling from cooler and less heat from heater is a very good example of this. Some examples off my head is that every tank requires five different species. You have a limited amount of space to build your aquarium. You can only own one large tank (Belfast and larger) etc.

Excellent game. Hard to get into for the first few hours though. You have to be invested into the story.

Ridiculously draggy. Game mechanics only serve to frustrate. Words and sentences flipped around for no reason. Mini games which are not very fun either. If you come in expecting something like ace attorney, you would be sorely dissapointed.

If you are just here to catch up for the Danganronpa anime you can watch a quick rundown on youtube. I recommend Oni Black Mage.

The order of the series is:

1)
Danganronpa 1: Trigger Happy Havoc (Game) OR
Danganronpa: Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei The Animation (Anime: 13 Episodes)

2)
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (This game)

3)
Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (Game)

4)
Danganronpa Zero (Light Novel) [optional I guess]

5)
Super Danganronpa 2.5: Komaeda Nagito to Sekai no Hakaimono (Anime: 1 Episode)

6)
Danganronpa 3 (Anime)
** Alternate between Future (12 Episode) and Despair (11 Episode)
I.E.
1.Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen - Mirai-hen Episode 1
2.Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen - Kibou-hen Episode 1
3.Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen - Mirai-hen Episode 2
.
.
.
Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen - Mirai-hen Episode 12

7)
Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen - Kibou-hen (Anime: 1 episode)
Conclusion to Danganronpa 3.

8) Danganronpa 3: Killing Harmony (Game)
Similar themes but seperate from the main story.

Previously gave it a negative review due to an obscene amount of bugs. This is to the extent that the game relies on external mod to keep the game running smoothly.

After many bug fixes finally left with occasional freezes. About 5-7 seconds long once every hour or so. So not literally unplayable.

Other than that, best story game ever.
