So last night I played Mouthwashing.
A short, PSx style, psychological horror gameplay experience.

I booted it up, and was very swiftly caught up in its current. I got fully absorbed into it and could not find it in myself to pause or put it down until I reached the end, 2.7 hours later.

This was a really, really evocative experience. The way it made me feel, and the way it made me think about things, was incredibly done. It had its mix of cerebral horror and body horror/gore. It was highly focused on its 5 characters. 5 normal people, with their jobs as space freighter crew, put in a stressful scenario. The game opens with a mystery around its inciting incident, and really cleverly uses time jumps back and forth to before and after the incident to build up what we know and create wonderful set up and payoff.

This is one which is best played going in knowing as little as possible. It's definitely not an experience for everyone. Firstly, I call it a gameplay experience rather than a game because while being interactive and controlled by you is a key part of itself, you follow the set path for the actions that happen. Secondly, do not play this if you're in a bad place mentally because it is a dark game.

But if these sorts of things intrigue you, I don't think you'll be disappointed by this one.

This is a little chaos sandbox, good for a laugh with friends in the room or on stream, but as a 'Game' its core mechanics and its prescribed aims are totally antithetical. If you try to play the game, it's tedious, obtuse, and dull.
