Huge step down from Boneworks imo. What was advertised as an ambitious, fully-fledged sequel to the game is really just a short, underdeveloped game which leaves a lot to be desired. Boneworks is fantastic because it pushed the limits of VR, presenting you with a lengthy campaign in a fully interactive world which you could tackle in a variety of ways due to its open level design and surprisingly good physics/controls. Bonelab's level design is a lot more linear, which would be fine if most of its campaign wasn't segmented into short, gimmicky minigames that are hit or miss. The game is also really buggy, which can make climbing and vaulting feel awful to do (sometimes my hands just stop gripping things until I hit a load point). There's not nearly as much to explore and immerse yourself in here as there is in the sprawling world of Boneworks. And I get that this game is mostly centered around mod support this time around, I just wish that was at all made apparent before they suddenly began to release this game. From the trailers, it seemed to advertise a campaign-centric experience akin to the first game.

It sucks this game feels like nothing but a scrapped-together campaign used to justify selling VR Gmod for 10 dollars more than Boneworks.
