Another timeless classic like Another World and Heart of Darkness. Just download DXGL and run the game in your native resolution and set up your controller in the options and you're good to go.

The Forbidden Arts sets out to be exactly what it is advertised as; it’s an old school action-platformer in the likes of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES and Jordan Mechner’s original Prince of Persia. There is an overworld map which you can explore and enter individual maps. In terms of platforming, everything is fairly standard. You explore and fight your way through a variety large side-scrolling maps while avoiding traps and overcoming obstacles. It’s fun yet challenging. There are some parts of the game that can be real frustrating, and you’ll die a LOT due to precision platforming sections, but thankfully there is a good save system in place which lets you save almost anywhere.
The melee combat, for now is fairly basic and simple. You can also learn a variety of magic spells dubbed ‘pyromancy’ that you learn over time. You can cast fireballs, conjure a flame shield and rocketjump up in the air. This brings a flair to the basic combat. You’ll need to observe and learn enemy patterns, just like any platformer. There is a weapon and armor system, which will be implemented later on.
The collectibles are well hidden and actually serve a purpose. You can use gold bars to enter challenge towers to increase your health and spirit level. In fact, I recommend you do them ASAP as these increase your chance of survival exponentially. I mean it. Do them ASAP.
The game looks good and runs well. First of all the art style is just gorgeous and nice to look at (think Torchlight). There are a variety of graphics settings to choose from. The lighting is well done for the type of game it is. Overall the atmosphere is quite nice and colourful. Sound effects and musics are well done, albeit being a bit generic. Everything sounds the way it should.
I recommend using a controller to play as keybvoard controls can be clunky sometimes although it’s possible to complete the game using keyboard alone. But a controller is highly recommended.
As for the current state of the game, there are 3 overworld maps, 3 challenge towers and 3 pyromancy skills implemented. Completing all of this takes around 7-8 hours, or more if you want to find all the collectibles. There are a few glitches like character falling into the terrain and getting stuck. But a reload fixes all of it. I had one crash in 12 hours of playtime. The upcoming Northern Wastes content will surely expand the game by around 4 hrs or more, so it’s definitely worth picking up as the price is cheap and justified.
Then there is the fact that the developer seems to be very community friendly and has been making fixes and tweaks according to player feedback. Being in early access will largely benefit the game as there will be a more large and concentrated pool of feedback available. I’d rather not rate the game at this stage. But if I have to, I’ll give it 7-7.5 and that score will likely change as the next content update arrives and I’ll update this preview accordingly.
Definitely worth picking up if you enjoy challenging old-school action platformers. But it might not be for the ones who get frustrated or can't stand precision platrforming.
Simplicity can sometimes be a good thing, and in the case of TFA, it most definitely is.

You know those games that are just a few tweaks away of greatness? The original Original Sin was that kind of game.It had modernised CRPG mechanics, great combat, lots of choices on how to get on with the world, wonderful crafting yet cumbersome UI and a muddled story (even with the Enhancements later released)
Original Sin 2 tries to rectify all those mistakes.
For my detailed review check this out:

http://indiannoob.in/divinity-original-sin-2-review-pc-noobreview-dungeons-dragons-and-mashed-potatoes/

+For starters, it has a more straightforward and darker storyline and writing.
+The UI has been refined and is a lot more accessible
+Character creation, customistaion, companions are all great.
+General gameplay is still solid packing deep environmental interaction(in&out combat),fun crafting and exciting turn-based combat with good animations.
+Classes are varied and many and balanced very well
+Pretty much all lines are voice acted and they do a decent job.Same with the soundtrack
+Challenging Tactician difficulty in which the game should be played (Normal being too easy)
+Game Master mode for PnP RPG simulation and co-op is fun as always
+Game looks great with a more grounded art style this time around
+Mod Support

-I felt the streamlining of RPG attributes and skills from the first game is a bit of a let down (Although they allow less trial & error playthroughs)
-The crafting seems to have been downplayed this time around. They have taken out the skills related to crafting and some fun recipes
-Normal difficulty is way too easy,at least in the first chapter.
-Tactician mode felt cheap in some aspect like when it gives enemy ridiculous amount of physical and magical armor. In the first game, higher diffiiculty meant more enemies and smarter A.I.

TL:DR Orignal Sin 2 easily takes it's place as one of the greatest CRPGs ever along with Baldur's Gate,Fallout,Wasteland,Planescape:Torment etc and at the same time possess mastery over it's technical aspects something the afforementioned games never did possess.

A fantastically written Role Playing adventure set in the awesome yet strange and weird Dungeons and Dragons planes multiverse where you travel to all sorts of creepy places to answer the ultimate mystery -Who are you and why can't you stay dead?

In short:A must pick up for old school CRPG fanatics and ifinity engine lovers.Isometric RPG with RTwP combat and lost of text to read through.

What's Changed:
--------------------------
Enhanced Edition is the best way to play the game in modern systems.Hoping that the modding community will update the mods like cut content restoration to be compatiable this "enhanced" engine.
Beamdog didn't add any original content and that's a relief. The core gameplay and story of the original game remains the same.
Enhanced Edition suppoets higher native resolutions including 4k,reworked UI,bug fixes, some minor gameplay tweaks that can be toggled like sprites highlighting, higher quality audio etc

Pros
------
+Brag to people that you have finishsed reading something much bigger than the bible
+One of the few games that pulled off the "amnesiac" trope so perfectly
+Make people drool over your formaldehyde smelling stitched-up flesh
+Be BFF with a talking skull
+Stare deep into the dark corners of Chris Avellone's mind
+Taunt someone to death
+Send your foes on a field trip to hell without a permission slip
+Visit a bagel shaped city
+Fall in love with the concept of death and resurrection
+People you meet aren't from McDonalds (A ghastly suit of armor and DnD's human torch for companions)
+"Babes.Think babes. Then think more babes" - Chris Avellone
+Visit a spiky and jagged world filled with spiky and jagged people
+Art style is visually appealing and suits the tabletop setting

Cons
-------
- People who hate reading,go away this game nor I want to have anything to do with you
-The only action you get in the brothel in this game is that by means of words and morphemes :p
-The combat is well...average but hey the spell animations are the best I have ever seen in an isopmetric RPG and most of the time it's best to talk your way out of situations
-You start the game classless and obtain a class after the initial map. There are only 3 classes:fighter, thief and mage with the oppertunity to dual switch between various classes whenever you want.
