Super quick murder mystery but worth the play through if grabbed on sale (less than $10). Plays just fine outside of VR, though movement is restrained. 4/5 endings are relatively easy to achieve in a single play through thanks to the "Continue" option allowing for continued play through just before specific ending choices are made. Wish there was more depth to making going back for ending C worth it but there just isn't much incentive there. Also, some very creepy scenes still hold up well 7 years after the game's release.

Have you ever felt like your life is too good? Do you long for less satisfaction and a lower quality of life? Do you find yourself yearning for less, as this world continues to give more? Well then THIS is the game for you.

Set in some god forsaken place in Russia, 35mm puts you in the shoes of a Russian bachelor in a post-apocalyptic world. Not only does this game let you accurately simulate the desolate boredom that comes with a post-apocalyptic world, the developers have worked hard to make it even MORE terrible for you by implementing a poor control scheme, horrendously translated dialogue, and the slowest walking pace known to humanity.
But they didn't stop there! The 35mm devs took it to the next level by withholding any navigational UI elements or dialogue to help you understand what in the actual hell you're supposed to be doing.

Highly recommend this game if you are seeking to bring your quality of life down a bit and potentially shorten your lifespan tremendously.

Come for the story, stay for the space flight.

Chorus is an incredible, beautiful, and action-packed space flight combat game. Each world is beautifully and uniquely crafted with plenty of space to explore without feeling like an empty open-world sim that is all too common today.
The space flight and zero-G drifting provide for engaging combat and just generally fun exploration, especially once increased ship speeds are unlocked.

If you are coming for the story, as I was, you may find yourself disappointed in the quality of the dialogue and lack of character development. It almost feels as if chatGPT wrote a love story about itself and a human space pilot. It borderlines ultra-cheesy but manages to stay somewhat engaging despite its flaws.

Overall, an excellent game lasting about 20-25 hours depending on how much you intend to explore.

An interesting, dialogue-driven story game where you seek to discover what happened to the crew aboard an empty space station before you arrived. The developer has taken an extensive amount of time to make sure the world is believable and interesting to explore. Almost every item in the game can be picked up and examined in great detail. From the fine print on bamboo pens, to the slam dunk near the opening sequence, items often have meaning and it is up to the player to "stop and smell the roses." I found the qr codes to be creative initially, but quickly realized the developer did not take the time to make the scannable content meaningful in any way whatsoever, which is disappointing.

I personally love the art direction of the game and find details such as the object animations to be delightful and entertaining.

The game is definitely not for everyone, but it provides a nice, dialogue rich story to explore at your own pace. That is, unless your paste is extremely fast, in which case you will miss all of the roses.

7/10

What a superb thriller. Not as many "jumpy" scare moments as in Dead Space, FEAR instead takes a long story telling approach to it's scare tactics.
At times, it did feel to drag out. Especially around the middle sequences, the levels and missions can start to feel very repetative. I presume this has alot to do with the aging of the game as the level design is not as intricate so each area does not seem "fresh".

However, for a 10 year old game this hold up SO WELL. I really appreciate all the video options. I did have problems with HID compliant devices causing the framerate to drop but disabling those quickly fixed the problem.

Now on to Extraction Point!
