I got this game looking for the nostalgia of my old CD copy of Sim City 3000. This is very much the "spiritual successor" of that line of games. Familiar mechanics, progression, and even the music. The only thing I'm missing is the aggressive sounds of my computer fans as soon as I'd put in that disc.

There is enough content base game (plus the super DLC available) that I can happily play and progress the same save for hours and hours. Especially now I'm older and understand how to keep a city alive rather than instantly going bankrupt.

I cannot recommend this more. Easily one of my favourite games :)
