Amazing art direction, music, game mechanism, story all bundled together into a veritable piece of art.

Well optimized and engaging. The newest multiplayer edition of Outlast does not lose the famous charm and horror it is known for. I really love the home room design as it provides a haven of safety and relaxation after intense sessions, also a brilliant way to meet and play with other players. (How is the room more customizable than Cyberpunk?)

My only complaint is that the beginning missions last too long without savable checkpoints (90 - 120 minutes on my playthrough with a friend).

The two new characters are pay to win with horrible regional pricing. There is not even a bundle.

With the introduction of the big patch, two of the four killers were inadvertently nerfed/bugged which pushes sale of new killer.

The killer Nancy has the unique perk of giving poisoned effect on every hit, which resembles the "bug" that Sissy had which eventually had gotten eliminated. Her ability to Spy cancels out stealthy gameplay that the devs claim to try to encourage.

The victim Danny stands out even more in the face of an anti-rush update. He is able to temper valve tank as well as all other objectives, rendering the family unable to do anything, just like the valve tank pre-patch.

Lobby matchmaking issues (lobbies will not fill up if a killer leaves, unless a victim decides to leave).

Random crashes.

Still broken perks.

Hidden player levels / team indicator to compensate for the matchmaking issue, which leads to miserable gameplay for both veterans and newbies.

Toxic community. (Not even in a funny way like DbD's)

I had my good share of fun but I would not in good conscience recommend this game.

Lack of timely patches, lack of effective communication, and tendency to P2W on a 40 dollar game. Wasted potential so far. This game's fate hangs in the next patch, in terms of both release date and quality.

However excellent the artistic and gameplay vision is, without a sustainable development and content (NOT micro transactions) cycle, a multiplayer game like this will certainly die out before long.

Had a blast with friends. >= 3 players is much more fun

They have made tons of improvements recently in terms of balancing and listening to the community. This game is in the best spot it has been in years and deserves recommendation. Only thing is, you will need to not let other players get to you.

Amazing story, music, and voice acting. But gameplay is far too outdated for me to recommend to anyone. Lots of repetitions that leave me feeling underwhelmed and bored. The multiple endings just add to the repetitions. There are not enough game-play elements or complexities at all personally. But if you are cool with replaying stuff then definitely get this.

Just freaking support Dualsense controllers. The vibration still does not work. For one of the biggest titles, please just devote one hour into fixing this. Tiring and frustrating.

Now I haven't played Dishonored which I see a lot of people compare this to, but this is a solid game that is rich in mechanism and story. Banger music and art style too. 60 bucks is definitely too much tho, so I would recommend getting it on a sale.

Fun game but where is 1440p?? in 2022??
