Deserves every accolade.

Takes everything from previous Fromsoft "Soulsborne" titles and wraps it up in a beautiful box.

Early Access Review
Top down STALKER with looting and base mechanics similar to Tarkov.

Steep learning curve, but still forgiving since you don't lose gear when you die.

First Person Hotline Miami at it's core, with it's own flair.

Forces you to learn the levels.

Fun soundtrack that blares as you mow down enemies.

Definitely recommend for the price.

Super fun game that I see people doing challenge and speed runs for a long time!

The randomly generated difficulty for each level, and the cast of characters you have keeps things fresh!

Bosses are designed very well, and each level fits their personality and design.

Rico is a First Person Shooter, where you play as a loose cannon police detective in the fictional San Amaro part of a task force where there is one goal. Stop the criminals by any means necessary.

The game doesn’t offer much in terms of story. There is one cut scene at the beginning which explains that criminals are getting out of hand and the only way to stop them is bullets… Lots of bullets.

The game is a breach and clear style of game. Before you go into each room, you kick the door in and have a few seconds of bullet time to clear the room before everything goes back to normal speed. It is cool the first few times you do it, but the novelty gets old fast.

You can choose between four different detectives. They offer nothing else but to change the look of your character, which you won’t get to fully see unless you are playing Co-Op.

Speaking of Co-Op. The game also provides Split-Screen and Online Co-Op play. So you can gun down a bunch of baddies with a friend.

Each level is procedurally-generated, which keeps things fresh for replayability. The game also offers quite a bit of weapons and attachments to put on them. I found that the Revolver and the Pump Action Shotgun were the two best weapons to use, which you do get early on in the game.

As you know this is First Impressions. I play a random game given to me by developers the first hour of my Stream, and give my thoughts and opinions on it.

While I did enjoy RICO from what I played, I can’t help but feel like the game was missing something.

There was NO music, besides the basic track in the main menu. I had to play my own music, old school hip hop preferred for the game, to really get into it and have fun with it!

While the levels are all procedurally generated, the looks of the levels and the enemies are very slim. I wish there was more variety here.

I also feel that each playable character you use should have their own abilities, to make them feel unique.

RICO is 19.99 on Steam, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

I honestly cannot recommend the game at the current price tag. While the gunplay is solid, the game is very bare. If you can find it at ten dollars or under, I don’t think it is a bad buy. Especially with a friend.

Buy it on sale.

Great relaxing game to chill to.

I usually play games like Civilization to play while watching TV or watching streams. This is definitely something that could replace it in the future!

I had no idea what this game was about when I went in.

Wow. I was floored from beginning to end.

The art, visuals, music, and story tellling completely enraptured me.
I would recommend this to anyone. Even at full price.

IN ALL HONESTY:
This game is great. I am enjoying every minute I put into this MASSIVE game.
They don't call them MMORPGS for nothing ;)
I love the lore. I am an Elder Scrolls fanatic. In Oblivion and Skyrim I wasted so much time reading the lore and the past.
In this game you get to LIVE in it. Experience it.
The gameplay is fantastic for an MMO and the graphics are the best I have seen in these type of games to date.
Voice acting is top notch and the music just immerses you into the experience.

I'm not a huge fan of paying to play, but GOSH DARN IT ALLL I will pay for this game.
I don't see it going free to play at all anytime soon, because this game is such a high quality for an MMO.

Edit of an edit:
It's no longer pay to play. So quit whinin' and buy it.
