The game is great. But it is short. For fans of OG RE3, I still recommend it. For everyone else I guess wait for a discount. Unless you like asymmetrical 1v4 games like RE:Resistance thats bundled with this game, which is pretty much the reason for the full $60 price tag, and possibly the reason for some of the cut content too.

The game would've been perfect for me if it was just 2 more hours longer. It needs 2 more locations tbh.
My thoughts on the game, and listing some of the changes/differences too, though I may miss some.

May contain spoilers

- Disappointed that there's so little of Downtown Raccoon that you actually explore. The area is too small and got me wanting more.
- RPD stuff is actually longer than the OG, theres a bit more thing to do, and it really ties in with RE2. So thats pretty good.
- Some are replaced with new ones, like the ground crumbling bit near city hall where you have to activate switches and climb up while avoiding the gravedigger, now combined with substation.
- Some others kinda fine like the city hall pathway.
- Speaking of substation, no early magnum here.
- The gas station is just a set piece.
- No newspaper office
- Mikhail's scene became more epic. Nikholai more an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than a proper villain. Kendo's appearance was as brief as RE2.
- Also not sure what to feel on what they did to Brad. But his character is definitely better now. Wish he had more screen time.
- Definitely bummed by the cut out clocktower. Well its there, but no exploration, just an arena
- No running to the hospital as Carlos, its just fade to black and its the hospital.
- No puzzle in the hospital, the vaccine synthesizing moved towards the end instead and its really easy.
- Hospital only consists of 2 floors, so no elevator rides or surprises.
- There's the C4 scene in the hospital, but for different purpose.
- From the hospital straight to the final area. No Raccoon Park. Which is a bummer. Instead we get a sewer section in the early part.
- I feel that there's actually less zombies in one area in the Remake compared to the original.
- Disposal plant replaced with NEST. So it has the same ending vibe as RE2
- Jill gets a really badass moment near the end at least
- No option for Barry ending. No multiple endings, no branching paths at all, which is a shame.
- Game is a bit heavy on set pieces
- Game is pretty easy on normal, very easy on assisted, hardcore is the "normal" RE3 difficulty (the OG only have Hard and Easy as a choice), and then there are two unlockable difficulty afterwards, which have different enemy placements, this adds to replayability.
- In game shop item after finishing the first playthrough also adds to replayability. Items from the shop is pretty much needed to S rank the higher difficulties.
- This game makes me want another Remake for RE1, with the new OTS cameras and better characterization.

Overall I love the R3make but it just left me wanting a bit more story and location wise. I guess what I can do is just play 3 up until clock tower, stop there and start RE2, finish AB, continue 3. Guess that'll get my RE fix during the quarantine.
