This DLC is NOT worth 20+ dollars. Get it when it goes on sale.

Chaos Dwarves are cool but there's next to no variety between the three lords, from their mechanics to their starting positions. The district mechanic is more frustrating than anything.

Oh and the writing quality takes a noticeable hit. Tooltips have spelling or formatting errors or are just worded poorly, like an intern cooked them up last minute.

Do not buy this at full price. Do not even buy it at 10% off. Wait for it to go up for at least half.

This game will bring out the worst in your friends. It's not very fun unless you're playing strictly to "the meta."

It's Violence: The Video Game. If you like violence (boy I know I sure do), this is the game for you.

If you want a medium to play tabletop games on, just use Roll20.

Tabletop Sim is legitimately terrible. Paying cash money for what's essentially one giant, gaudy, clunky gimmick. A gimmick that your GM's tagalong manchild can quite easily ruin by flipping the table and fiddling with people's dice and tokens.

No way dude.

Awful community, awful devs and a wonderful track record of pumping out literal pay-to-win characters that they only nerf once they're free-to-play. Don't get into it.

TL;DR Buy it on sale and DO NOT take it as indicative of how the actual tabletop roleplaying game works.

It's something obviously meant to be replayed several times and it's short enough that it isn't a difficult prospect. If you're a die-hard WtA fan you will be disappointed at the things the game seems to gloss over such as the topic of metis, the full unabridged Litany, the intricacies of earning a tribal totem's approval to join the tribe etc.

That aside it is pretty faithful to the tabletop at least in tone, setting and presentation of the spirit world. I would definitely recommend it as reference material alongside the actual game.

The writing definitely takes a hit in the last third of the game, where things are really condensed and wrapped up way too quickly in a very "tell, don't show" manner. But the prior 2/3rds of the game is pretty consistent and sharp.

Should be longer, should be more in depth, should have taken more time to flesh people out in one go-around. But otherwise it's pretty alright and it definitely tries to be faithful to the tabletop.

Early Access Review
TL;DR it's an 8.5/10 and it has the potential to not only become 10/10 but the mother and flagship of its sub-genre much like Dead by Daylight

PROS:
-It's Ghost Hunting: The Game and very fun to play with friends without Discord
-Wide variety of ghost patterns, temperaments, bugs and quirks
-Whether intentional or not, collecting evidence often involves some lateral thinking and its satisfying when you identify entities that're being particularly uncooperative
-If you play in VR you can hold 4 items instead of the usual 3 and you gain a spectral hula hoop of power
CONS:
-Extremely slow movement speed means excursions take a lot longer than they really need to and big maps are slow and a bit monotonous to play.
-If your teammates are uncooperative, mute/deaf-mute, incompetent or literal children your chances of fun and success are compounded so it's best to play with friends.
-Sometimes ghosts simply will not give you evidence in a timely manner, or at all; sometimes they won't cooperate in giving you optional objectives (Dirty Water is the most egregious example).

You hunt ghosts and doom them to an imminent exorcism/banishment/ashtray binding the next night with the evidence you gather. The scariest part about the whole thing is that you never know just how aggressive, sadistic, shy or buggy the ghost will be until you're in there alone with it.

You can also secure items from the house for spiritual decontamination later including beer, laptops, human bones and Fabian.

When everything's working, the game can be hair-raising and intense. In my experience a combination of sketchy teammates, bugs and reluctant or elusive ghost AI keeps it from being like that ALL the time. But if your team communicates well and has an abundance of patience it is very fun regardless.

The biggest problem with the game is that you're so damn SLOW and some of the maps are HUGE. Ostensibly it's there to accomodate VR players so that they aren't left behind or forced to develop motion sickness but it's really obnoxious and a time waster. If one were to up the movement speed of the player (and the ghost) I think this game would be a 10/10.

If the concept of "Ghost Hunting: The Video Game" is something you're enamored with, this game is for you. If not, you'll have to make your own fun with your teammates, which isn't hard to do at all.

An absolute disgrace of a game. Let me count the ways:

-Guns are the only viable build. The only viable build.
-Many enemies will just either go invulnerable or swooce off outside of your view when hurt, forcing you to wait seconds upon seconds for them to decide it's ok for you to play the game again.
-Taking into account the above and combined with other factors, the pace of the game is disgustingly slow and boring.
-Pretentious, "omg so quirky randumb xD" characters and storyline that you'd expect from a DeviantArt page.
-Many sound effects are just pop-y, boing-y mouth noises obviously meant to ape Minecraft.
-Clunky, un-intuitive UI. Multiple needless steps to accomplish one simple thing, like opening reward sacks, et cetera.
-Tedious and obtuse crafting system, many other games do it much better.
-Certain missions and not-dungeon areas require you to traverse down platforms. If you hold the down key for a milisecond too long, enjoy plummeting to your immediate death. Fall damage is ridiculous.
-Playing on Survival or harder? Need to eat? I hope you enjoy eating food items one. By. One. Did I mention they don't stack?
-While exploring a cave with friends, my ability to beam up was removed. Completely. Logging in and out again didn't fix it; I'm just stuck down there with absolutely no way to leave except for manually digging myself out.
-You can't just go off on your own and experience the game at your own pace. Everything requires hand-holding via boring, generic quests.

I really doubt that this game gets better with time played. Maybe it's a sunk-cost fallacy sort of deal?

I'm VERY glad that I didn't pay a single cent for this """"videogame"""" and very sorry that my buddy had to.

Killing Floor 2 is a neat little game in which you mangle hordes of cloned zombie abominations with everything from shovels to rocket launchers. It's satisfying, challenging and very engaging and especially entertaining if you have a full squad of friends to die with. While finding a server can be a pain sometimes and the levelling system is painfully slow, KF2 remains a very fun experience. Eat your heart out, Left 4 Dead.

As a side note, if your username has special symbols like ; or , or : then your in-game name will be set to Player123 or some similar string of random numbers. I got Player420 once. It was pretty sick.
