As always, a good update is continually made unenjoyable due to the war system. I really enjoy the trading and economy game, especially since this DLC, but being unable to kick the Dutch out of a war despite the entire mainland Netherlands being occupied is just ridiculous - as has happened in my first campaign in the new patch. Treaties are definitely a step in the right direction, it's just the nonsensical peace mechanics dragging everything down. At least front splitting is less frequent.

this games kicks ass. combat feels fast, fair and rewarding - learning demon's weakpoints to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fluke all the bigass demons, then using the auto-shotgun to mow down the fodder, seamlessly merging regenerating health & ammo into the fight, its just so COOL. and then the soundtrack is fantastic, Mick Gordon did such a good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ job. being a literal GOD and slaying demons is SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ COOL!!! RIP AND TEAR!!!!

despite the game being quite boring with no DLCs, the game itself is incredibly fun while also being very complex. very good

probably one of my favourite FPS, ever - the flow of gameplay is really nice, my one gripe with it is the movement. it feels a bit too basic, i think if they adjusted it to be more like quake / cs:go it would be a perfect game. oh and a tutorial pls and thanks

this game should be the benchmark for what remakes should be. faithful to the original but iterating on it just enough to make it fresher and better. absolute blast to play. what they did with Xen is incredible

actually a really tactical and skill based game. where's dod: global offensive btw

I bought the game on day 1 but it gets really frustrating to play because:

1) most sniper rifles one-shot to the body, meaning that you can die instantly by a dude laying prone across the map
2) grenades cause a lot of screen shake, like, off the richter scale levels of screen shake. it's also really hard to tell where a grenade is so sometimes you'll be running down a path and get blown to bits randomly
3) visibility in general is pretty bad - there's so many explosions and dirt being kicked up everywhere that it's really hard to see someone even right infront of you
4) the game won't even let me join a server for a team-deathmatch map other than Siege of Hue (my least favourite map so far). even if I select all the maps except siege of hue it'll still put me in one
5) all classes except assault & sniper (because sniper is so over-powered) are just assault with a few weapons removed / added and a gimmicky special weapon, like an RPG or a radio to call in a bombing run (which does nothing besides give me nausea from the screen-shake)

because the game's in early access I'm sure (or at least hopeful) that they will fix these issues but in it's current state I can't recommend it.

($20 is way too much for a game in a market that is 'fundamentally hard to buy into' though)
