Novel until it wasn't. Buy this game on a heavy sale, it is only here to waste computing resources.

This is an easy 10/10. The writing is superb, VA is superb, art direction is truly wonderful etc. I can't speak enough good things about it.

This is best described as an open area, immersive sim "lite", with a strong emphasis on exploration. There is some puzzle solving, albeit simple. Lots to love about the combat, etc.

The visuals and sound are lovely. Sound effects are punchy, fun, and visceral. Visuals are top notch. Especially when considering a more recent game... MH Wilds... Compared to the truly atrocious PC port of that, and horrendous visual design, Indy shines as what the future of PC gaming could be, much like Cyberpunk 2077 did. Built on a hybrid forward renderer, and using many proprietary systems to enable RT and PT, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, is a technical marvel.

Releasing late 2024, let's not count this one out, as the GOTY of 2025, unless GTA 6 actually comes this year. A wonderfully refreshing, competently made, single player romp across the globe. Nicely done Machine Games.

Been out for a few weeks, TLDR still bad.

This game is in an unacceptable state at the moment, so I cannot recommend it.

Every good thing about it, like the monster designs, awesome fights, cool weapons, great characters, etc is marred by a truly horrendous PC launch.

The graphics are frankly horrid. RE-engine is a great engine, featuring many advanced techniques. Real Time cutscenes look great in this game, your character looks great in the creation screen. But as soon as either of those end, a truly horrific sight awaits. The colorgrading and graphical deployment changes from cutscene to gameplay. Shadows are awful, the tonemapping in HDR and SDR is broken, with lifted shadows and clipping highlights.

Ray Tracing is used on reflectiosn here, there is a path tracer present. Using developer tools I can turn it on, allowing for a much more robust GI solution than what we see. There is absolutely a memory leak, the game crashes after 20 mins of playing, with out of memory errors. My page file is 32gb, I have 64gb of memory, and an RTX 5090.

Texture streaming is god awful and broken.

AA is god awful, blurry, and broken.

The horrid dithering affect used to hide transparent objects as the camera nears stains the huge amount of foliage.

This is truly a pathetic and bad PC port. I cannot recommend this game, until these issues are addressed. It sucks, because the gameplay, story, monsters, and world of MH - Wilds, is something I thoroughly enjoy. Bad job Capcom.

Too much to do, so little time

The stutter is annoying as all hell, but it's really quite fun, and truly beautiful!

Its rough around the edges, and poorly explained at times. Which drove me nuts for a while, but it is what it is. I'd give it a solid 8/10 and a definite must play, if you can put up with the FromSoft jank

Man this game is long. But I'll be damned if any other game comes close to nailing midwestern america quite like this. Worth playing simply for the atmosphere. Although the story and gameplay are a treat as well.

Feels better on console cause you don't notice the awkward mouse input as much, as you don't have a mouse there.

This still remains the only battle royale I can stand, even if it remains as stagnant and meta driven as all others. It's gunplay is bleh, but there are no care packages, and you needn't be a civil engineer to win.
