RetroArch is an open source emulation and retro gaming powerhouse and Valve is astoundingly based for officially allowing it on their platform. They did what nintencouldn't and won't ever and it greatly empowered Steam users.

Put it on your PC, put it on your laptop, put it on your Steam Deck. Load it up with legally owned games from your past, or maybe ones you missed out on. Play them, stream them, speedrun them, study them, share their experience with your friends and family. Use it as an educational tool for preserving video game history, show your kids what games used to be like when you weren't an old man yelling at Cloud.
