This game is great. However, it has a whole lot of things that are questionable at best and outright horrible at worst. The choices the game gives you are generally varied and interesting. You get to really shape your relationships with the characters in any way you want. Being rude and confrontational will get you in a fight, while trying to stay humble will make others enjoy your company a bit more, though it depends on the person. However, with that said, you really barely use your powers in this game. Very rarely do you get to actually influence people with your magical powers, something which I personally wasn't particularly disappointed by. Mostly you will be gathering evidence and looking for clues, which will help you in conversation. I enjoy this way more than just doing a skill check.

The characters in this game are all interesting and acted really nicely, I played the game with english VA. My biggest complaint on that front is that some of them really don't feel particularly fleshed out, which is fine, to be honest, not every single person needs to have a lot depth, but I think some of them could have a bit more of that. I wish the PPS was more involved with the story, considering how much they are teased in the game. It seems to me that they're included simply by virtue of being a part of history at that point, rather than to be a genuinely interesting faction. This is a shame and I think the game's biggest wasted opportunity.

The combat in this game is atrocious, which is a shame, if you consider how much of it is in the game. I played the game on the hardest difficulty and I think, before the final boss, I died maybe 2 times. I also really felt like I wasn't ready for the final boss, I simply lacked the levels necessary in the combat abilities, which would be my fault, but I won every single fight before it using the stuff I got from the prologue. It is extremely easy right up until the literal last fight. If I ever do replay this game, I'm doing so on the lowest difficulty. It feels like the authors played Disco Elysium, thought about the things which make it good, took some of them for their game, but forgot about the others. There is a lot of reasons why DE didn't have combat, and it feels like this game doesn't really understand them.

On the topic of DE, the game world in here is way too large, most of the time you will just be walking from place to place spamming right click. There is a reason why in DE the world wasn't really large. I suppose the city in this game does feel like a city, but you aren't building a city, are you? You're making a game world for your video game about various characters and the story, you're not supposed to make a realistic depiction of Warsaw from 1905, it just has to be believable enough for me to believe that that's where I am.

The side content in this game ranges from "go to x and interact with thing to get some xp" to really good side quests. If you don't feel like walking a whole bunch with no real reason, feel free to just ignore the "city secrets" quests, that's what I did after like 10 hours in. The actual side quests are all very good, at least the ones I did. The game makes them hard to miss, which is really good. Most of the side quests could very well have been a part of the main quests.

So, in short, if you are looking for a very solid 15-20 hour RPG with great story and characters, this one here will be perfect for you.
