Developers are deaf and blind to what their actual consumers want. Introducing EAC will be suicide for VRChat. Other social platforms like NeosVR will become the new king in Social VR. VRC's only claim to glory is their player base numbers, and they are throwing that away by ignoring 10s or thousands of people begging them to not introduce EAC.

If the majority of the player base don't want an anti cheat, your problem is not going to be solved with anti cheat.

Is it perfect? No. Are there bugs? Yes. Does it still feel great when you get that perfect shot from so far you can barely even see your target? Hell yes!

I immediately went to Steam and purchased this game after hearing Total Biscuit talk about it on Cooptional Podcast. I figured, if I didn't like it, I could always just refund it.
Well, from the moment I booted it up, to the moment I finally said "that's enough for now" I had gone well over the time period that would allow me to refund the game, and have zero regrets!

A lot of complaints that people have are definitely justified, like the RNG component and the boredom that can come from sailing around each zone to find encounters. However, every single other game of this type had the exact same thing. People look back at FTL with nostalgia and forget that you literally could die in the 2nd zone if you had the worst luck, or you could get all the way to the end boss and just die because you didn't have the right weapon configuration.
At least in Abandon Ship, it is a lot more forgiving. The introduction story line is actually quite interesting, and was the one thing that kept me going. I've since then continued the story into the later parts that include a lot more exploration, and less running against the clock.

Finally, I have to say... It's a Kraken, people. Not Cthulhu.

Used to love this game. Then the developers turned into children and stopped supporting it. Shut down Australian servers completely and won't even talk to customers.
Don't even bother with this game.
