Hi.
Me:
:waveobstacle: 25 years old.
:waveobstacle: Name is pronounced "who".
:waveobstacle: Yes, I'm a guy.

Links:
:orionamet: YouTube
:orionamet: Mastodon [mastodon.social]
:orionamet: Others [linktr.ee]

Friend requests:
:waveobstacle: Only accepting friend requests if you need something & a simple comment on my profile won't suffice. (you will be removed after)
:waveobstacle: No I do not trade. Requests related to trading will be blocked without a second thought.
:waveobstacle: I won't accept if you're "looking to make friends" or whatever.
(exceptions are made if I know you IRL or from somewhere outside of Steam & we know each other already)

The reason for this non-sense? For one, I don't use Steam as a social platform to talk to people, I just use it to play games. I'm more open to chatting on something like Discord than Steam.
And the second reason is just because I like to keep my friends list clean & filled with people I actually know (you know, friends and not random people I add on a whim).
That's why I am so picky about this.

It's not my problem if you dislike anime or anime-styled games.

Inventory set to private due to a massive influx of bots (seriously, where the ♥♥♥♥ are they coming from?!)
Games I think you should play
Won't be listing obvious things like Portal or Terraria here. Point here is to list a few lesser-known games for those looking for something new that's a bit more out of the ordinary.

- Rabi-Ribi
CreSpirit, 2016
A fun, cute, yet difficult Metroidvania platformer. Gaudy outfits aside, this game has a surprising level of polish. Check out the soundtrack as well, it's extremely good.

- Megadimension Neptunia VII
Compile Heart, 2015
A JRPG in a rather niche series comparatively that parodies the gaming industry. One of the best entries in this series as a whole in my opinion.
P.S. It's "Victory 2", not 7.

- Touhou Luna Nights
Team Ladybug, 2019
A side-scrolling Touhou fan-game. For those who aren't big fans of the Touhou bullethell games, this one should be a lot more up your alley.

- Touhou Mystia's Izakaya
二色幽紫蝶, 2021
Another one for the Touhou fans who find the main games too intimidating. If you like more relaxing games, this one should be way more up your alley, as your main objective is basically to run an izakaya and appease as many customers as you can. Gets progressively harder as it goes on but it's nothing super intensive. Big recommend.

- Open Hexagon
Vittorio Romeo, 2021
If you've ever played Super Hexagon, consider this a fan-made sequel with modding support and a whole bunch of custom stuff.

- Really Big Sky
Boss Baddie, 2012
If you like side-scrolling space shooters, give this one a try. Granted this may be a bit visually bloated and the game itself somewhat simple, but given its cheap price, I'd say go for it.

- Emily is Away
Kyle Seeley, 2015
If you were around for the MSN era of the internet, this one's sure to tug at your nostalgia a little bit. Has a few fun Easter Eggs too for the inquisitive.

- Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force
Compile Heart, 2017
If Neptunia isn't your cup of tea, this might just be. It has a more run-of-the-mill shonen-like story with a very similar gameplay structure to Neptunia, but for those who think Neptunia is a bit too much, this one might honestly be way more up your alley. One of the best games Compile Heart has made to date.

- Race The Sun
Flippfly LLC, 2013
I will stand by the fact that this is one of the most underrated games on Steam. This game can be very difficult and brutal when you're starting out and learning but one of the most relaxing gaming experiences you can have when you get good at it. Highly recommend it, great aesthetics too for how simple it is, plus there's Workshop support.

Let's be honest, if you've been on Steam for any number of years, chances are - you've encountered a bot here or there. How can you be sure that they're an actual bot though? This guide aims to be the comprehensive guide to spotting phishing bots & how to

Good call, thanks. I'll add that in when I can.

I just saw your guide on spotting phishing bots, and one tip I would add is to check their achievements for TF2 if it shows they have playtime in it. If you check the dates they earned the achievements they will usually all be listed as being unlocked within the same minute.

of course. hoping for more to come as well.

cautiously optimistic about valve's work regarding tf2 right now but i'm still keeping my expectations in check. still, getting rid of that turd was a good step.
