Finally finished a play through on Xbox, thought it was really meh. Not bad, not great to what others have said. Thought I would give the PC version a try because others told me its better than the console versions but Honestly it still felt pretty basic. This was a step back imo from Mass Effect. I see the quality that people call out but for a Dark Fantasy and Bioware in its hay day I would say this was behind Jade Empire, Kotor and Mass Effect as their weakest. I will still recommend it because it was good, just got hyped up a bit much to me and did not match that said hype.

I still recommend it but have changed my review. This is Sigma again, but with the original games gore and dismemberment. Beyond that its 100% a re-release of Sigma 2 and that is a shame. Still a good play, but I really wanted the original staircase battle and was not excited to see 5 enemies at a time rushing me on that staircase.

Only reason the demo has upset me, is it came out over 2 months before the game, and I want to keep playing, I want to see more bosses and weapons and skills and loot. I loved my time in the demo and I just want more, so yea I recommend but also I don't cuz its still 2 months before the actual game lands.

Played this on switch and loved it, had to pick it up for PC to play with my PC buds. Its a simple to pick up Rougelike but has a really fun skill ceiling. I would say if you are looking for the complexity of Hades or Dead Cells you are not going to get it, but if you want a fun arcade style beat-um up Rougelike than this is a good option.

Its not super hard like I said but its fun all the way through and builds are unqiue enough to be fun. Give it a try if you are a fan of Rouges or Beatum ups. Also makes an amazing couch co-op game.

I love what is here so far, yes there are some Perf issues, and I have come across some bugs, but I am loving the game. Going into it thinking its just a Souls like you are going to be disappointing or frustrated, there are elements of a lot of different games in here, Souls being the inspiration of the Combat and that is about it.

Enemies don't re spawn just by resting, they come back on a timer, you treat it as a Souls like, survival, mmo diablo like and you are more likly to understand No Rest for the Wicked. The combat is surprisingly deep for being basically 1 button. Hit X and you combo, Sprint then hit X and you do a charge stab into a combo, Roll then hit X and you do a uppward motion combo. There is even a move set for when you are blocking with a shield.

Now somethings I think need to be worked on, I think allowing the character to quickly get their hands on some of the base weapon types is crucial, as well as offering a bit more of a ease of entry to magic, as it stands at the beginning you are just not going to enjoy Magic, even tho its done in an interesting way, so building you character for it is going to be rough.

Performance is also an issue, and while I did play a good while on my Steam Deck at a solid 30 fps after about an hour it maxed out my Steam Deck and it forced it to shut off. I get some performance hitches on my main PC but I guess im lucky but my PC was also meant for early builds of games so *Shrug*.

Ultimately I love it, its not going to be for everyone but I cant wait for Multiplayer to be added as well as what ever else Moon comes up with.

P.S to Moon, I was one of the QA on Ori Will of the Whisp and even after this long since a release you guys still have some of the best art and style I've seen in a game. But your HDR is still to dark.

A prime example of why fighting game studios should branch out, they already have a grasp on cool AF combat, adding it to new ways to play is just a win.

(Edit: I am changing my score, I originally gave it s positive with some feedback review. It wasn't amazing, it wasn't giving me the happy unbridled power fantasy that the Batman games did, but it was giving me something fairly enjoyable to do for someone who likes Looter/shooters. I was also holding out hope that they would have been paying attention because the negative feedback to this game is 100% warranted and I was hoping they would learn from it rather than double down. Well they double downed and from what I am seeing its not worth it and I want my review to reflect that. Leaving the original up but wanted to give this update.)

I am only going to put recommended because I am having fun with the gameplay, but that Recommended comes with a big ol if you are not a huge fan of looter-shooter games or even if you are WAIT until a sell, then do your best to create a headcanon that this has nothing to do with the Arkham games and blitz or skip the story its actually painful to sit threw.

I am going to be 100% honest about this game, I do not take ether side of the isle in terms of the hate or the love, I was trying very hard to wait to give it a fair shot I have played for about 6 hours now and while I cannot say ive seen the main meat and potatoes of the game I think I can give my general assessment. The story is hot garbage, who ever wrote this should really stop thinking they are creative and good at story telling, the blatent disrespect for the Arkhamverse in this game is staggering and downright shameful, Kevin did not deserve this as his final outing and Rocksteady should be ashamed of the story they have cursed the world with.

That said Combat is solid and fun, game-play loop is a standard looter shooter so its a bit repetitive but again have not finished the story so I cant be 100% certain but if you like Looters you will enjoy this, even more if you have friends to play with, the characters all feel unique and enjoyable to run around and kill stuff as, and the loot and build diversity is nice.
