I had known about the Persona franchise for some time when I purchased this. A former friend had told me countless times about it in high school, and how much he admired it. I desired greatly to play it, but never had the money to get a Vita in order to play.

When this came out on Steam, I had really no choice except to buy it. What followed was a great experience. I played it through a sort of midpoint in my life between a chaotic era and new beginnings. It really helped me through the process of change.

I fell in love with the everything. The characters, the setting, the music. The combat, the enemies, the Personas. All of it was so fresh for me. I played it pretty much every day, enjoying every moment of the story and anticipating the end.

When I did finish the game, I was left with a profound sense of accomplishment. This is a long ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game with a lot of moments dedicated to dialogue and plenty of time spent grinding, plenty of deaths I would have to go back to checkpoints because of, and honestly instances where I simply enjoyed the soundtrack as I switched focus to talk to a friend while playing. My save sat somewhere in the ballpark of 65 to 70 hours and I was proud of it. I had that sense of loss every gamer knows when they finish a good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, but it was bittersweet. I still was left with a net good, I'd say.

Definitely play this game. It is a classic, with a wonderful story and great mechanics, in terms of combat and plenty else. I can't speak from the position of someone with hundreds of hours and who knows every in and out of this game, but I can speak as someone who loved the hell out of this game.

when you learn attacks this game goes from being impossible to very manageable :)
