What an amazing remake. To visit Myst Island in VR for the first time is unbelievable. Thanks for all you do, Cyan

Like everyone else, all I can do is sing this games praises. I don't think I've ever cried during a game, and I can count on one hand the amount of movies I've cried at, but this game made me cry at least 6 times alone. A masterclass of storytelling. The blinking mechanic brings you into the experience, and adds a layer that I truly did not expect to be as impactful as it was. What an unbelievable experience.

I feel extremely frustrated because you can tell that the devs put a TON of time, love, passion, etc. into this game. This is a hell of a first entry for Mundfish and they really came out swinging. But having waited 7 years to play this game (didn't buy it till 2025 because of middling reviews), I can't help but feel incredibly let down.

The lore, style, and enemy designs are so insanely cool. But the way the story is spoon-fed to you like you're an idiot ruined the experience for me. I know that there are some translation/localization issues that make for REALLY cumbersome dialogue, but the way story is delivered to you is deeply rooted in the game and independent of these translation issues.

I've seen a lot of people compare Atomic Heart to Bioshock and I totally disagree - aside from having an ability similar to Electro Bolt, both games being FPS games with RPG elements, and both protagonists having some form of amnesia (being vague to avoid spoilers), the similarities end there. The writing is awkward, the characters never shut up, and the ending is basically just sequel-bait.

If you turn your brain off and just want to play a stylish action RPG-adjacent FPS game, then you'll have a great time. If you want a story that respects your intelligence, look elsewhere.

Overall, I enjoyed Planet Scanner. It has aspects that remind me of other games & media (Iron Lung, Lethal Company, and Gemini Home Entertainment come to mind), but generally remains original. Which is awesome, because I don't really think I've seen this mix of ideas before in a game, and I did enjoy it.

I have some quips & nitpicks, but they're pretty minor. Length is about 2.5 hours, so use that to judge if you want to get it on sale or not. Support your local Godot dev!

It is actually insane how good this remake is. The new additions and lore expansion are not only welcome changes, but tied so well into the world itself that my jaw was on the floor multiple times through my playthrough. Amazing work Cyan and Starry Expanse teams, you've done something TRULY amazing.

Really awesome product for making 3D models using spritemaps. UI and interacting with the scene takes a little bit of getting used to, but once you get used to it, it's amazing. Haven't found a better alternative!

If MindTex 2 has a million fans, then I am one of them.
If MindTex 2 has ten fans, then I am one of them.
If MindTex 2 has only one fan then that is me.
If MindTex 2 has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth.
If the world is against MindTex 2, then I am against the world.

The definitive Submachine experience - worth every penny spent, and every second waiting for this. A truly remarkable accomplishment, and a testament to a passionate artist.

(altho I do miss the classic "screaming" portal teleport sound)
