Easily the best shooter I've played in a long time. Playerbase is friendly, lots of servers dedicated to newbies. Due to being unconventional, the learning curve is quite steep, so don't expect to understand everything within your first few matches. Also, don't be afraid to let your Squad know you're new! Veterans love teaching new players.

Some things to note:

- Average match length is around 1h20m, plenty of time to strategize. This is where most FPSs fall short.
- If you're buying this game just to play as a sniper, heck off.
- Seriously, snipers have no purpose in this game. I would recommend CoD or Fortnite instead.
- Everything is teamwork-oriented, loners will always fail at what they do. Always stick with your Squad Leader, and don't be afraid to let them know of your inexperience
- Get a microphone. 99.99% of this game is verbal communication; nobody has the time to use text chat. Nobody cares what your voice sounds like, what matters is that you have one.
- There's lots of content on YouTube + Twitch, as well as community-made tutorials. There's even a built-in tutorial that takes about 20 minutes. Would recommend it
- Think before you engage the enemy, and always shoot to kill. This means if you don't feel comfortable with your shot, don't take it. A bad move will kill you REALLY quick.
- Cover is your best friend. LoD will NEVER remove trees, bushes, or buildings, even if framerate suffers a little. Use your surroundings to get a lead on your enemy, and for God's sake don't push through an open field. Yell at your Squad Leader if he's pushing an open field.

Being the Internet, you might run into a bad community. However, there's an overwhelming amount of non-toxic + learning friendly (LFS) environments that you can join at any time. Don't let a bad match drag you down! Join any other server and you might just make some friends.
