Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is a true masterpiece for Tolkien fans and action game lovers.
Right from the start, the game captured me with its gripping narrative and dark atmosphere.
The protagonist, Talion, is a fascinating character whose story of revenge and redemption unfolds in a captivating way.
The combat mechanics are fluid and rewarding, allowing for a variety of play styles, from stealth attacks to direct confrontations.
What really sets this game apart is the innovative Nemesis system.
Each enemy has its own personality and memory, which means that previous interactions and confrontations affect the way they react to you in the future.
This adds a layer of depth and unpredictability that keeps each encounter exciting and unique.
Visually, the game is impressive. The representation of Middle-earth is stunning, with varied landscapes ranging from gloomy Mordor to green Núrn.
The design of the characters, especially the orcs and Uruks, is detailed and faithful to Tolkien's universe.
The soundtrack deserves a special mention. It perfectly complements the action and narrative, increasing immersion in the game world.
The sound effects of the battles and the environment are equally impressive.
However, the game isn't perfect. At times, the side quests can seem repetitive, and some minor bugs occasionally get in the way of the experience.
But these are minor setbacks in an epic journey that offers dozens of hours of entertainment.
I completed the game in around 33 hours trying to get all the achievements. I only managed 52/74, but I'll try to platinum it.
