Early Access Review
This game is completely broken, namely the Oasis map. I've gotten stuck on at least three parts, stuck under ramps and in the water, and my friend has had to actually time out because it wouldn't let him move. There is no hope for this map, just permanently remove it.

Okay, I'm gonna start off by saying I have a pretty ♥♥♥♥ PC. I can play most games, but they just run a bit slow. I did some research and saw that Firewatch almost always runs at around 5-10 FPS for some people with decent PCs.

However, I turned my settings down and I played the game fine.

I played the game thoroughly, up to what I can presume is close to the end. This could've been up on my top 10 favorite PC games, but one fatal error ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that up and forced me to write a negative review.

So on Day 77, when you have to follow the transponder thing to the strange backpack , Henry decides to automatically run in the last direction I pressed. I have never had this problem in any part of the game, and I even restarted the day and did not have any trouble until I went to clear the bushes. I opened up Steam Messages to see if my keys were stuck, but it worked perfectly fine. I looked at the key bindings, and there was no "toggle directional run" binding. I even turned "toggle run" on and off and he still sprinted. I have Googled this extensively and found no other reported cases of this, so I can not find an easy fix.

If anybody else does have a fix for this, then PLEASE direct message me, and if it works then I will turn this negative review into one commending the game for what it deserves.

Probably one of the best games ever created, Obsidian show their worldbuilding prowess in this absolute masterpiece of a title in a series that has long been abandoned and aged horribly. Even without mods (though they don't hurt), Fallout: New Vegas stands the test of time and plunges you into a desolate world where you have the morally ambiguous task of deciding the fates of those around you.
If you were turned off by any other Fallout game, give this one an honest attempt before signing off the franchise. Obsidian's ability to tell an engaging story mixed with Bethesda's cutting-edge game engine (for its time) makes for an experience that is sure to make you laugh, cry, and wallow in a mixture of hatred and self-pity.
