The game in itself is really solid and will give you hours of fun if you can ignore the politics. The gunplay feels good, the graphics are alright, nothing special, but oh lordy, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ soundtrack is ledgendary. If you turn off the soundtrack in this game, you're not playing the game right. Try and have friends play with you in this game, because coordination is useful, and its fun to talk to friends while shooting up cops. I do reccomend getting this game on sale, not because I think it isn't worth the full price, but because sadly, I think there are a few mandatory DLCs that you have to pick up alongside the game.

On a final note, the microtransactions are easy to avoid, but a few DLCs are really nice to have. Most of the drama (From what I've seen) is that they went back on their word, but I would beg you to just ignore the politics a little and try the game.
