Interesting take on the genre, fun to play so far.

Very unpolished and unbalanced, gets boring pretty fast. It does have some good ideas, but at the moment I can't recommend it.

For example, you can craft a bow from the start without unlocking any tech. But in order to use the bow, you need not only arrows, but you actually need to craft a quiver. But to craft a quiver you need animal skin which requires a butcher's table which requires a whole lot of iron ingots and a technology unlock. Of course the game doesn't tell you any of this, I had to check the wiki after already crafting a bow and arrows and not being able to use it. And if that's not enough, I couldn't even store the bow because a weapon rack also requires a technology unlock, so I not only waster materials but also had a permanently occupied weapon/tool slot for a useless bow that I can't shoot.

I expect better after 4 years in early access.

Fun. I love how you snowball if you play right and become super strong in the late game.

First of all, it's fraudelently claiming to support 103 languages, when it really only supports Arab. Second, the game really stinks. Last, my CPU was at 100% in the main menu, so one wonders what this game is really doing... Crypto? Trojan? Reported to steam and not recommended.

Moved out of early access too early. The game is unfinished and has game breaking bugs. The giant storyline ends abruptly, there are areas that are there but not accessible, quests you can't complete, stores you can't interact with. I expect a game that leaves early access to at least have a complete main quest line. Adding more stuff post-release is welcome, but the basics need to already be there. Now I'll have to play all over again if/when they add the ending.

When I started the game, I was a bit skeptical because of the negative reviews complaining about grind and other elements of the game. I was positively surprised, and really enjoyed the game.

The game obviously draws inspiration from Don't Starve. Some inadequately (like storage management), but mostly it does a good job. There isn't the trial and error experimentation element that don't starve has, but the base mechanics of exploring, gathering, building a stronghold, and surviving work nicely. It does get a bit grindy at parts, but not in a bad way, I didn't feel like I was doing the same thing over and over again.

UX could be better, especially the storage management, splitting stacks, etc. Only storing 6 items per chest works for don't starve because of how hectic the game is, but for this game it's just annoying. Combat is not as bad as Don't Starve, but also not as good as an ARPG, it's decent, at some points it does get a bit annoying to fight again and again, but overall it's ok. Base buillding and defending are pretty good, not too elaborate but just right for the pace of this game.

It took me 21 hours to finish the game. You can unlock other characters, but their differences are not big enough to make another playthrough interesting. Unlike its inspiration, this game is designed in a way that doesn't encourage you to start over, hence having to play to unlock the other characters kinda ruins them, by the time I unlocked another character I didn't want to start over. The story is decent, I enjoyed the voice over and the main character.

I do recommend it, but I suggest waiting for a discount and not full price.

Oldie but good. A bit too short to my liking, but if you get it at a discount and enjoy Galcon style games, this one is pretty good.

This is basically a top-down terraria. It's fun, there's plenty to do and to find. Very similar to other games like Keplerth and Necesse, I'm not sure why this one is so much more popular, but if you enjoy the genre it is a good game.

Unique and enjoyable. As long as you set your expectations straight, and you understand this is a mostly casual game about exploration, collection, and don't expect an elaborate farm management game, you should enjoy it.
