Like many new players, I struggled with this game and had a rough few play sessions in the beginning. But after rolling up some of that Erdtree, I feel much better now. :)

But in all honesty, this game is the pinnacle of action RPG's in so many ways, and I've only barely scratched the surface of what seems to be a rather large scale endeavor. The game world and lore is weird and unique enough to certainly be memorable (their fascination with fingers cracks me up).

The graphics are great enough to give you plenty of "Whoa" moments. Ray Tracing and HDR technologies are done well here. It also ran perfectly well on my non-RT GTX1070 and looked just fine on my non-HDR display.

Great sounds. Epic orchestral scores for music. Top Quality here with the audio.

As for controls, I would strongly recommend either using a controller or re-mapping the mouse & keyboard bindings to something more your liking. For whatever reason, the default bindings just don't do it for a lot of people.

For a live service game of this nature, it has surprisingly well-polished execution. The developer's updates seem to be improving the product, rather than detracting from it, so there's a positive trajectory for the game overall in my view. I didn't initially have high hopes for this title, but it has been a nice surprise for me so far.

I'll take this review from two separate perspectives, as some of these points won't matter as much to everyone.

As a gamer, I must say that this game has a great visual art style, runs well on most hardware, and is a joy to play. Very fluid, smooth gameplay.

As a video game music composer, I believe this game represents an outstanding achievement in Sound Design and the use of music. They combine these elements to enhance immersion, gameplay mechanics, and the overall game environment like no other game I've seen.

Easily a Top 10 contender for 2023 across all platforms, but it is in my personal Top 5.

I'm one of the fools who bought Postal 2 on CD-ROM back when it was first released, and now I own it again on here on Steam. This game will easily offend anyone you show it to. It'll also make you laugh because it is so absurd. Buy it today!

Such a gloriously beautiful, orc-slaying masterpiece. This game starts off as an overwhelming task in the beginning. But once you get the controls down pat, you'll be wrecking these ugly fools for fun. And what fun it is. Poison their drinks, fire off a few arrows with expert precision, come down from above, throw a few daggers, chop off a head or two, and stab the living hell out of the last remaining one. A tribe of 50 will soon look like nothing once you get into your groove, so sharpen your blades.

I love this game. It was the original zombie shooter for me back when it was released, and remains one of the most thrilling game experiences I've had in recent years. I believe most of the game elements have aged well, and you can still have a good time with it. Online presence has slimmed down considerably since the release of its sequel, L4D2, but the original remains a classic.

Smooth, fun, and a big improvement over the first one. It's how a sequel should be done.

I don't know why I waited so long to finally play this game. It's fantastic! If you've ever wondered how playing soccer with blazing fast RC cars would be, here's your chance to find out for yourself. If your imagination is more controlled than mine, then you'll still enjoy the speed, skill, and teamwork necessary to unlock the full potential of this instant classic. If you like Hockey, you can use a puck. And it rocks. If you like Basketball, you can use one to play hoops with your friends, enemies, and frenemies until you can no longer take the fun from witnessing their misery. Creative types will enjoy the customization factor, you can use all sorts of stuff to modify the look of your car, as well as different parameters for the gameplay itself beyond just the game ball type. There's even tournaments and leagues for the more competitive players, so the game has tons of replay value overall. It's quite simply one the best things Steam offers in its entire library. You'll feel it when you score that first goal. Just try and keep your shirt on.

I absolutely recommend this game.

So I was looking around for a suitable replacement to Simcity 4 (since it's prone to crashing on modern-day configurations) and came across the Cities XL series. I'd say that this game isn't as "simulation-like" as the ones from Maxis/EA but it may be more fun as a result of that. The core components are all there, with variations here and there to make an otherwise aging game genre seem fresh. And it seems you can grab a discounted "upgrade" for a newer version of the game if you already own the previous year's game (something I wish sports games would adopt). If you enjoyed creating multiple cities to fill in SimRegion in Simcity4, you're also in luck. They have an entire planet with over 50 different spots to start off in, with about a dozen different starting terrian types (that you can alter afterwards).

Cool little game where you zip around crazy looking courses that follow the beat to whatever song of your choosing. With all the characters you can select from you can basically make the game as easy or difficult as you like at any given time depending on your mood. Not too bad, overall.
