This game brings pure fun to a new level. It's goofy, cartoony surface might catch your eye at first, but it also allows gamers to engage in some of the best team-based arcade-style FPS combat you can come across. This game gets updated more than most MMORPG's, and now that it's free to play (it was once part of the famed 'Orange Box' retail package), it can cater to even more players eager to get in on the fun. Nine different classes allow for whatever mood you're in or playstyle you prefer, several different game modes and maps, and hats. Don't forget the hats! Your virtual cranium will never be lonely again.

Typical Texas Hold 'em poker game with a crazy little cast of characters to play against. Good if you like poker and witty banter.

Ah, old fashioned 2D sidscrolling bliss. This game makes me nostalgic on so many levels it's hard to describe. But even if you're a "new-school" gamer you can probably still appreciate the innovative and captivating (i.e. addicting), yet simple and easy to grasp gameplay that Terraria brings. It's a mish-mash of sidescrolling platforming, world building, and action adventure with some RPG-like elements tossed in for good measure. The randomly generated worlds you start with give you wilderness, caves to explore, materials to acquire to build more things in the world (like structures and items for your character) flying islands to conquer etc., not to mention tons of loot and treasure for your exploration efforts. You can also connect to a friend manually via IP and play their world (and they can connect to yours), always giving it a persistant feel as you watch it evolve in between your own playtime. Overall, great value for around 10 bucks for many different types of gamers.
