EDIT: They've done a lot of good the game since launch.

PROs:
- Absolutely BEAUTIFUL world. Large-scale, and as always, masterfully crafted.
- The sounds. From the creak of leaves to the popping of your mark canister, everything is just pure ASMR to me ears.
- Combat mechanics: Ignore the noobs who has never played an MH game. The purpose of the camera working that way is because MH is meant to be played with manual aiming. Yes combat is manual. It's not like the DS fanbois who cry "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ almost inexistent targetting system". Git gud, bois.
- Story. Again, a very HUGE improvement on story. The world feels MUCH more alive with voice rendering.
- The world. The world just feels alive. Monster turf wars, sudden hunt interruptions, dinosaurs stealing eggs, mother dinosaurs getting angry at said thief because of said egg theft... Everything interacts with everything.
- Iceborne is worth the penny. It's basically another MH game, guised as an expansion. It's the same amount of content as the base game.

CONS:
- Multiplayer matchmaking seems empty, as I'm not getting a lot of help in SOS requests. Maybe people are just focusing on higher-level hunts?
- While there are some very minor, non-gamebreaking technical issues at rare times, the game could definitely run better. I'm still blaming Denuvo.
- Cheaters on the Leaderboards. I mean those people should be softbanned.

The base game is extremely cheap at this point. Buy it. Play it.
