You can't use a nuke to kill the spooky giant ship that follows you on a timer every level :(

Fun with friends though.

Addictive ah. Local co-op is solid too.

The music goes really freaking hard. Having played Slay the Spire, this is certainly an easier deckbuilder; I recommend the "hardest" setting after seeing all the decks. There's a good variety of builds you can lean into if you capitalize on what you get during a run; there are also anti-synergies to watch out for when starting a run. I think the meta is definitely stacking evasion with Riggs' cards - evasion can bail you out of most situations and it persists between turns with virtually no limit. The character interactions and humor keep the game fresh through the 18 successful wins (60-90 minutes each) you need to reach the story ending, which I also really liked.

Gameplay is good and I like pushing up stat numbers. I am shocked though to see that it's not early access with how much of the design is in flux right now. Gear drop rarities only go up to rare no matter how many new game+ stages you increment, and the last two stages (especially the last one) feel undercooked after the first few times through.

Beautiful little puzzler with some quirky humor. Love the idea of the buttered cat paradox as a gameplay mechanic. None of the puzzles are insanely difficult - and you can skip levels if you want to - though there is a difficulty spike in world 3 (out of 5). Sometimes you can bail yourself out of would-be harder levels with precise movement such as throwing the toast vertically onto a wall to get a horizontal jump when the floor is ice. The end sections of worlds 1 and 4 were definitely the highlights for me!

Early Access Review
Clean roguelike with online co-op. Music slaps, but the game balance has a distinct early access flavor right now.

Don't actually register for the game through Steam or you'll get a 2nd class account and pay full-price on everything. I copied my game files from the official launcher over the Steam installation, allowing me to use my original account and track hours.

Early Access Review
Fun coop survival experience; very polished for early access. Love the (more comedic) Black Mesa research facility vibes. Plenty of goofy options for base building using gathered office supplies to make sciencey stuff. The end of the current content is a bit abrupt but I'd buy this game again.
