I like the game. At first it was a little weird to learn some of the new move sets and mechanics for the weapons but after getting some used to its pretty fun. Others are saying its easy but those are just the players who have been playing the series for a while now. Currently in its state its just one big tutorial for what the Devs might be cooking in my opinion. I say enjoy the game for what it is and what it can be. If you want a challenge try out the other monster hunters. I think that some of the long time players of the series are just jealous of the new players starting in wilds for how convenient they have it compared to the older games. I can say that wilds is a great introduction to new players because its not as punishing as some of the older games and lets be honest if new players tried the older ones the majority would have stopped. The ones who pushed through the punishment of the older monster hunters are the ones who grew up on it , before games went digital.

TLDR
Game is great. Not as punishing as the older games in the series. Great introduction to new players to the monster hunter franchise. Its still fresh and new on its release let the Devs cook through the future patches.


Story is 10/10. Very memorable characters.

Game is good. Says its mixed cause the smooth brains who don't even have 10 hours on the game can't get it together to get through the tutorial and learning the mechanics of the game. Also the negative reviews about the game being NCSOFT and Amazon games sound like a personal problem and only look at games from its surface value. Get a grip. Game is doing great so far with the RPG trifecta of DPS/Healer/Tank. If you play any other of the modern mmos you'll find theres not a lot of DPS/Healer/Tank gameplay. Letting players switch weapon types to accommodate their play style and switch skill xp to another skill of a different weapon is a great feature. Adding on top of that the skills can be specialized to really amp the experience of the game. For example the sword and shield has a skill that can pull a mob to you but can be specialized to pull up to 6 mobs to you and instead of a rope that pulls it would evolve into a hand made of stone that grabs the mobs to you. If you really want to read the reviews skip the ones that barely have any playtime to get a sense of what the game is from people who ACTUALLY play the game and not just hop on the train to complain.

In short. Game mechanics are fresh and has a proper RPG Trifecta.

I like the game but until they can optimize the game I'm leaving a negative review. Only reason is because somehow the game crashed my driver and I needed to reinstall my driver. So far reading some of the community discussions the crashes are mostly happening to amd users.

couple side notes:
-the game could do with the upgrade of gathering animations as they seem a little clunky at times
-stamina regeneration could be better instead of having to just sit there and fiddle my thumbs before utilizing stamina again.
-needs more character dialogue to make the characters truly unique in their characteristics.

I understand the game is still new but address the optimization first before anything else.
