You may look at this game and think "What, just cards?" And it's true. It is just cards. And once you've played this game, you'll realize that "just" these cards will grab hold of you for hours and hours. This game is fantastic on your computer, on a Steam Deck, and on a phone. If you have Apple Arcade, I think it's free on there - so you can try it out. But it is a fantastic game.

Early Access Review
Hades 2 is a phenomenal game. If you liked Hades 1, you'll like Hades 2 (and if you haven't played Hades... play Hades) - BUT IT IS NOT HADES 1. The only criticism I've seen for this (early access) game is in comparison to the prequel. You're playing a different character, in a different situation, with different abilities. Yeah, I miss my boy Zagreus - but Melinoe is her own character, and I'm invested in learning her story, and mastering her abilities. If you just wanted this to be Hades (1), well... go play that (still perfect) game instead.

Play this game with your friends (There's extended lobby size mods if need be), if you're all in discord, all mute yourself, and use proximity chat. Something about everything going silent as you creep through the darkness is what makes this game golden

I so far have greatly enjoyed Disco Elysium. Some people have complained about the Final Cut version, and while I did play pre-final cut, it wasn't for very long and I don't remember much of it. I think the game is great - I love the gameplay, the story, and especially the art style. In this game, it feels like the things I do as a character actually have an impact, although I have yet to actually beat it besides getting an ending via a political ideaology quest . I will say this game isn't for everyone - it isn't action-heavy, and it involves a lot of reading, and walking around. There's a ton of lore as well that you can get in to, but I don't think you have to if you don't want to, and the game would still be enjoyable.

Anyone who liked SWAT 4 (or similar games) will surely like this. I was following the game for a few years and lost some hype as it kept seemingly get delayed (Is it Ready, Or Not har har har) but it definitely deserves its Overwhelmingly Positive reviews, and since it's in Early Access I'm assuming/hoping it'll only get better.

Such a great game. There are the occasional bugs, but it's still a fantastic RPG. It took me 386 hours to finally beat the game, after replaying Act 1 many many times with friends. Every class seems to have its own fun playstyle, but so far my favorite is Glass Cannon Archer (with Rogue coming in close second).

These reviews are no joke. I get in my fair share of working out, but never do cardio - and after 30 minutes I felt like I got an entire workout in. After 7 rounds, I'm sweating more than I am during any average workout, my inner arms already feel a bit sore, and I was hit with that feeling you get after running on a treadmill after a long period of no cardio (aka most of my life). I was streaming the game to a friend and felt a bit embarrassed as to how hard I was breathing after the first few rounds. Definitely worth the price if you're actually going to play it more than once.

Despite the bugs, I'd say it's an overall good game. I never gave into the huge hype the game had, so I'm not really that disappointed. If you can get the game to run (and at a stable frame rate), I'd say give it a go. I enjoyed the story and the side missions, the characters were neat and I enjoyed the gameplay - although it was buggy and glitchy at times. Sound would become choppy, framerate would drop from 60fps to mid-20s seemingly at random, but it usually fixed itself or a restart would do the trick. That said, they still need to definitely patch the game - my friend has a computer that should be able to definitely run the game, but he can't get anything above 20FPS, which basically makes it unplayable. If you're having FPS options and have an RTX Card, I would recommend trying the DLSS option on in the graphics settings if you haven't already, that boosted my FPS from ~45 to ~60. In terms of content, it is disappointed when I read through what was shown and/or promised in trailers and whatnot, but as I said, it's still a good game nonetheless - maybe these will eventually be added in through updates or DLC, who knows.

Besides the FPS, I'd say the most frustrating thing I encountered was that I originally was hoping to go for a 100% completion save, but one of the little police sidequest things bugged out, and even though I had defeated the enemies and completed the area, it still showed up on the map and said it wasn't completed, and unfortunately I hadn't noticed that until I had already moved on, made new saves, etc. Another thing I find frustrating - and I'm not sure if it's a bug or intentional, but: (Endgame Spoiler BTW): Apparently there's a "secret ending" with Johnny Silverhand - but your relationship has to be at 70 by the time you get to the endgame mission, or you won't get it. I, and seemingly the vast majority of players, end the game with 60 relationship (even though I was nice and agreeable to Johnny for the majority of the game and did all his sidequests...) - but you can apparently also get the ending with 50 relationship? I'm not sure if that's a bug or intentional but... it's a little disappointing, as I was going for all the endings, and was able to get them all besides that one - which would now require me to make a new save and play all the way through, sucking up to ole Jonathan every step of the way it seems.

I know I only have 7.4 hours in this game - but those 7.4 hours were one straight sitting immediately after purchasing the game. I loved every minute of it - it's a fun, fast-paced roguelike game. The variety you can get with each run is seemingly endless, with all the different deities and their boons, combined with the weapons you can choose from - then the trinket you can pick, yadda yadda. Amazingly fun game, I haven't really played much of a roguelike since Binding of Isaac: Rebirth - and already I feel this game is leagues above that one.

If you like Crusader Kings 2, chances are you'll like Crusader Kings 3. If you didn't, well... you still might like it, but don't get your hopes up. It's a great game as is, and from what I've heard - a rather successful Paradox launch. I feel like CK2 has more content, but it has several years worth of DLC to back that up, while CK3 feels like a great polished Crusader Kings title with plenty to do, even at launch with no DLC.
