Ape Out is a top-down beat em' up where you play as a gorilla hungry for freedom and willing to do anything to achieve it. The game play is quick, but WILL punish you (especially on higher difficulties) if you do not play intelligently. Stylistically, Ape Out is a masterclass, as it combines modernist visuals with a jazzy soundtrack that adapts to how quickly and efficiently the player moves through the level.
