EDIT/UPDATE: It is not true you need to go through some specific path or do some mandatory research to progress after the major event between act 2 and act 3. Depending on certain choices, the Alters you have and other things it could be more or less difficult but there are multiple options to progress through it.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
Simply brilliant. A gem hiding in plain sight. Mechanics are simple enough and serve a clear purpose to the story. The narrative it's quite well built but definitely hits harder in a specific age range (25+ maybe?). A normal playthrough is relatively short (around 20 hours) but fortunately there is replay value trying to see the consequences of all decisions and dialog options looking to unlock all endings. Because there is a limited number of saves (plenty enough, no worries) the game warns you to clean some to make sure you keep just the key ones.

I've had some technical issues here and there (a couple of random crashes mostly), hopefully devs can patch it to make it more stable in the future. There is also a lack of "native" HDR support, but somebody in the forums found a way to force-enable it via ini files of the engine; is not perfect but it works. By the last act I replaced the DLSS dll with the latest version and don't know if it was placebo effect but I felt the game a bit smoother.

I've seen weird complains about how "stressful" the game can be and I have to say it wouldn't make sense (or It would be a very boring game) without it. If you don't like to solve puzzles and do some management under time pressure definitely not for you but that's not the game's (or the devs') fault. I needed to reload a couple of times in my first playthrough but I felt the game more one the easy side in the default difficulty.

Just a final warning: you won't be able to build, discover and unlock everything in a single playthrough and that's by design. But there is enough incentive (and variety in the gameplay) to complete the game at least a couple of times.

Simple, straightforward, entertaining Action RPG. Don't know how it was as a MMO, you could still see some remnants here and there but definitely a really good job revamping everything to make it work as a single-player and coop experience. Combat is challenging in a good way and feels rewarding. It can be a bit difficult to get into all mats+items+boosters mechanics as there are a lot of multiple systems to level up but at least you can go with the simple mindset of just equipping the highest level item. Hopefully the player baseline gets into healthy number, enough for developers to continue supporting the game. I wouldn't mind a couple of paid DLCs in the future.

Awesome online coop experience. Very fun game loop (like a light version of Hades at the moment of this review, maybe with further patches will have a bit more depth), great artwork with impressive netcode. Very recommended.

Simple but incredible addictive! People familiar with Minimetro will feel immediately at home when playing this. Beautiful art, UI, ambient music and sounds. Looking forward for a Minimetro+Mini Motorways crossover!

Very enjoyable hack&slash/roguelite. So far it has more than enough content to justify it's price and most of all: contribute to its development! Recommended purchase (hopefully a Switch version is coming with the possibility of sharing savegames)

Absolutely gorgeous! A must have for all Audiosurf/Symphony fans. The perfect combination of high reflexes, rhythm, awesome music and incredible graphics. Smooth framerate with 0 choppiness (Corei5+GTX1060). I think more volume range is needed but the developer is already working on it!
