I've spent an embarassing amount of time on this game (even more on the GOG Galaxy version) and have recently bought the Steam copy of this game. Being that this will be my third playthrough, believe me when I say that this game will change your life.

To begin, my specs. I am running on an i7-4790, GTX 970, 16GB of RAM. In the graphics, everything is on ultra except for foliage view distance, which is set to high, and Nvidia Hairworks, which is disabled. In the Post process settings, everything is on except for motion blur. Performance almost never dips below 60 FPS. I firmly believe that if my build can play this game at ultra, it should run very well on lower spec systems, as well.

Now, the fun part: the game itself.

Pros:
-Beautiful world graphics, you can tell that CDPR poured their heart into detail.
-Extremely well crafted story, incredible amounts of depth.
-Immense multi-region worlds to explore.
-Excellent combat system, very fluid.
-Detailed crafting/alchemy systems.
-Detailed skill tree for Geralt.
-Incredibly well done voice acting.
-16 Free DLC's with the game!
-Vast amount of side quests/witcher contracts to engage in.
-Side quests have detail, almost NO "fetch quests" that I have played.
-Character development is pitch perfect.

Cons:
-Every now and then, there are small bugs in quests/cutscenes, but very minimal, especially now that the game is on v1.22.
-Sometimes your horse, Roach, gets stuck in odd places in terrain when using the "Call Horse" function.
-Nvidia Hairworks, while it is visually pleasing, is harsh on the game's frame rate. I suggest using it only if your PC has the graphics card to do so.

Summing it up, I believe that The Witcher III: Wild Hunt sets the bar for the next generation of gaming. The amount of depth, detail, and heart that was put into this game simply takes your breath away. The Witcher III was one of the first games in years that made me say "wow, this is incredible" as I was completing certain quests, exploring, or simply taking in the view in one of the vast regions of the world. This game feels as if it is a brand new life of its own, and you begin to feel connected to each of the characters, creating in-game memories that will make you laugh, smile, or even break your heart. If you haven't bought this game already, it is a must-have for this generation of gaming. An absolute amazement. One of the first times in a long time that paying 50$ for a video game felt justified.

Well done, CD Projekt Red. (:
