Disclosure: I have played Persona 5 on the PS4 and P5R on the PS5 previously, this is my third time with the game, so I will spare you the obvious bias, I love this game, the story is amazing and the characters excellent. Every moment of this 100+ hour JRPG is a treat.

Performance wise, this port is running buttery smooth on my mid-level gaming PC. I'm rocking 100 FPS at 4K without missing a beat, my only concern is that the text feels a little rough, but it may just be an issue of the font upscaled this much. Controller instantly recognized and played well, using an XBox One controller. Tested a Switch and PS4 controller too and they ran fine as well.

Play between the PC and the Steam Deck was smooth and easy. Saves transfer via the cloud so be sure to sync between play sessions. Game was released verified with presets, so running the game was simple to do with very little to have to adjust between platforms.

Not thrilled about Denuvo, but at the same time I'm not really affected by it. I highly hope they remove it in a week or so after it stops being relevant.
