Early reviewers would have stated a problem with the game launching in developer mode, this has been fixed and the issue has not appeared again.
One last diminishing factor is the game breaking mechanic; the take down. As gory and satisfying it is, it is encouraged to much and is more efficient than a shot gun in some cases. Each take down you are rewarded ammo for all weapons and grenades alongside health packs that will vary in amount depending on your Prada suit upgrades. (I'll let the game tell you the rest.)
The monsters themselves outdo the creations in Amnesia! It is worth mentioning that the demons have only gone through a graphical update, no new looks or new mechanics have been added. The only odd addition to these demons are their behaviour, they will fight and kill each other; even during battle.
TLTR: If you enjoy 'fast pace' arcade shooters this game is dirty fun. You need to check whether your PC can run it; if you don't have the capacity to run it upgrade your PC.
DOOM has gone back to it's roots of a gorey arcade shooter: it's bloody fun with a load of upgrades to create mass destruction. There is an odd exploration added to the mix, with many secrets unveiling the original DOOM levels, finding little collectables to unlocking weapons at an earlier point or gaining an upgrade chip.
Troubles that I have with games in general is upgrades and mods are headed out too easily making combat dull. In DOOM, upgrades are not handed out to you, you need to search hard for them or earn through efficiently dismantling enemy waves thus been rewarded at the end of the level.
