Let me start by saying I can understand the complaints and woes with this game due to high system requirements, and an unusual rendering process the engine uses. Those complaints are valid, and for some could be a killer. However, as someone with a reasonably beefy PC (4790k/1070) this game looks great 1440p, and the gameplay, regardless of setting, is something to behold.

This game is very much an evolution of Alan Wake, with dashes of the brilliant gunplay mechanics that drove Max Payne forward all of those years ago. If you have any interest in "B-movie" sci-fi TV (Fringe, Travellers), then this is certainly a game that you could find interesting. The show pieces are well acted, the gameplay sections are quite fun. I really have no major complaints outside of some loading weirdness and some unfortunate graphical issues due to the rendering process.

I personally would very much recommend this game, I was completely surprised that it was as compelling as it is. If your PC is capable, and the price is right (I paid $20) then this game is certainly worth that.

Simply the best in its genre. If you've ever enjoyed the idea of a battle royale, or wished H1Z1 was actually good, this is the title for you.
