A fun game until you realize the game is a tedious time sink of breeding and hatching eggs and killing boss/alpha pals over and over hoping for that .1% chance at a legendary recipe. The core concept is a lot of fun while the implementation and direction is a tedious hell of trying to get those perfect pals that even with adjusted server/game settings still is a slog to produce. Once you have that dream team, you are so maxed out, there really isn't anything to do that remains a challenge.

Feels like that there is a communication breakdown from English bug reports to the Japanese developers.
Issues that have been reported for over a year, remain broken and unpatched.

base game suffers from really dumb design choices
Darkness Falls mod makes up for some the base games shortfalls.

Enjoyable pretty game that quickly becomes a struggle for survival as the waves keep coming.

Solid single player game so far
As someone said in reviews: game is solid solo development vs Valheims group play
Dislike the coop- with no dedicated server, it's player hosted coop so if I'm not around, friends can't play our save and when playing we are all working on my save, base building stays on my save so they have nothing. They introduce dedicated server, I'll consider buying.
Someone said this excel at base defense... I mean sure, build your house in the middle of the forest, it could be a challenge.
I built on a random island, 5 harvest moons, not a single enemy spawned on the island... was rather disappointed because I was ready to throw down and see what base defense was like 8(

Full price at $60? no way, feel sorry for anyone coughing that up at this point
Under $10? seemed a good buy
Launch and try to play online - match making fails over and over, steam db says ~500 players at 1am PST
Oh well, may give a shot again another day. Today though, its getting uninstalled.

sadly devs have shut down the studio and the game is a ghost town a year later
installed, went to server select, not a single player hosted server and the 3 official servers had 0 players 8(

This was probably the most fun in a single player game I have had.
I generally avoid single player games entirely but somehow picked this up and loved it when it first came out.

gods awful font hurts my eyes trying to read it
one of the worst font's I've seen a game use with no settings that help make it easier to read without squinting

I've been playing the demo the last few days and it just feels bad
Feels like a Void Crew clone but not offering any exciting or significantly difference to game play. Not sure why I would want to play a unpolished EA pre 1.0 when Void Crew sits there with content patches and polish.
Some minor things that just bothered me that were not game play specific: A lame claptrap clone that just ruined the game the second it opened its mouth and kept saying the same lame combat lines over and over. The starting base feels so wrong, hey lets build a warp gate and and surface base where any surface scan by the enemy will reveal our position.

Maybe in a year (or maybe 15 years if they take the star citizen route) when the 1.0 hits and it has it's legs it might be worth circling back to.

A fun addicting game. There are a few issues that bug me though:
1. no cross platform sync of player progress, I got this on playstation, bought on pc expecting some sort of sync from playstation profile, nope, brand new, no history transfer.
Really killed the PC mood for me and refunded until I learn of profile syncing being added. I also intended to buy it on other platforms, android, switch (I assume there's a switch version) so I'm paused there and just going to play on the platform I have the most playtime currently.
Issues I've encountered:
- Jokers that give bonus when you have a 3 of a kind, trigger, when you score a 4 or 5 of a kind, but if you are required to play a 3 of kind, and play a full house or 4 or 5 of a kind, you don't get credit. This is important when the boss blind says "only one hand type this round" if you first play a flush, playing a royal flush later doesn't count and gets discarded. This needs to change, that royal flush should be scored/counted as a standard flush, if royal flushes are invalid. So we have two opposite mechanics: Jokers trigger matching sub hands, while challenges do not accept sub hands.
- You can't buy a +1 card slot card (called negative effect) if card slots are full. You have to sell one of your cards, and then you can buy that negative card, and then sit there a few rounds with an empty card slot until you can fill it.

As you can see some nuanced situations that end runs if encountered, but for the most part are not encountered every run. Despite refunding here on steam, I continue to play multiple games a day on PS.
