A rogue-like where the only progression limit is your skill, and your own PC. I wouldn't play this game if I had photosensitivity; There aren't many ways to limit the sheer number of effects lategame.

This game is so elegantly able to always feel fair; Every death is very obviously avoidable. The question is, how risky do you want to play? ROR2 incorporates many, well, risky mechanics. Items with tradeoffs, gambling, choices. "Fun" might not always equal "Optimal". Where does your playstyle lie in this balance? The glory in ROR2 is the choice.

The lore is intricate and fascinating. The art is stunning; A signature, recognisable style.

Oh, and the music? Chris doesn't miss.
