Love all the songs in this and they're all fun to play!

I normally just do bass player's review, but took out my six string guitar to play some of these too! It's all fun, it's all good, get this pack*! I love variety. Now time to go play that Nazareth tune again!

*Arch Enemy - Nemesis requires tuning in C standard for both guitar and bass (like Dethklok). You might not be able to play it comfortably on your normal guitar you use for E Standard tuning. I suggest taking an old guitar/bass (I took my first bass) and put some heavy gage strings on it and use it for lower tunings, like D and below.

*Presidents of the USA - Peaches is in Eb Drop Db, just to give a heads up. I must say I wasn't expecting it from them.

BASS PLAYER REVIEW

Hello once again. Just want to say, as always, I'm a bass player over all, and to be honest, I haven't even tried playing these on guitar yet. Moving on.

Bass players, this pack is great, but one song properly stand out as the most fun to play: Overlord! That song's very fun to play, and you get to do cool bends! Unfortunately the song is in Eb Standard (A@440Hz).

The other two songs are fun too, but not that challenging. The bass tone on them is really nice though and I can really see myself playing these a lot in the future! Big downside though is one of them is in D Standard (A@440Hz), so they'll probably be played with the Motley Crue pack, also all in D Standard. The last song is in D drop C (A@440Hz), so you're gonna need to have spaghetti strings or take out the bass you use for Dethklok and System of a Down, although the C string (E in standard tuning) is hardly used. I know sometimes Rocksmith can have trouble picking up my bass when it's in C using normal strings as the strings bend very easily. Try being gentle, it's the best fix for Rocksmith to pick up spaghetti strings.

All in all: I think this is a must buy for the sheer fun! If you don't want the pack, at least get Overlord, so much fun to be had despite the lower tunings.

I can't believe I didn't review this game yet... It's the only game you can guarantee I will play every single day if I can! If my time count is low it's also because I play a lot of coop and also own the game on console.

Yes, I'm going to give this game a glowing review and from 2 points of view:
1/ If you already know how to play guitar/bass - or at least have all the fundementals
2/ If you're a beginner - just picked up a guitar or want to review all the basics

Pros for those who know how to play

-A list of songs and dlcs where everyone can find something they like
-A variety of songs to learn using different techniques, effects, rythms...
-Fun minigames just to practice your techniques
-Master mode - if you have this turned on, Rocksmith will eventually remove the notes from the screen so you can properly learn the song without needing Rocksmith with you
-Coop - excellent game to just play some songs with a friend - you don't both need to know it as Rocksnith will be there
-Stuff to learn when you just don't know what you want to play! (biggest pro for me) - Really helped increase my repertoire.
-Session mode - to just jam with a virtual band - fun and relaxing
-Copy effects, tones and sounds from any song in the game for your session mode - Nice little time saver

Cons for those who know how to play

-You have to go into Riff Repeater to increase the difficulty of each song manualy - I like playing them on 100% difficulty from the start. A setting for "default start difficulty" is missing
-All songs aren't always at the same level - Minor problem as you can just adjust it yourself, but I'd look into that
-Realtone Cable required - the option to use another input method would be nice and save use having to crack the game (there's a no cable fix out there) or having to hunt for one without the game
-Uplay - Just go away! We don't need you! Although you do if you want to unlock bonuses for Rocksmith

Pros for those who are learning

-Price! Compared to guitar lessons, Rocksmith is much much cheaper. Even the DLCs are worth it compared to tutoring prices, and that's by a longshot.
-A nice automatic difficulty adjustment - if you play a part of a song perfectly more than once, Rocksmith will slowly increase the difficulty until you're playing the entire song with ALL the notes - I've even used this a few times on really complicated songs
-Riff repeater - slow down a whole song or just one riff and adjust the difficulty of individual riffs to make learning easier
-Minigames are a great and addictive way to practice your techniques. You'll play then without even realising you're getting better at guitar
-Both rythm, lead and bass selection for most of the songs - for bands with 3 guitarists, (like Boston), the 3rd part of the song is found in "bonus arrangements"
-Can teach you the basics of making your own sound using virtual pedals, alot of which are actually licenced
-Rocksmith changes the tone and effects of your guitar for every song so your cheap guitar can sound like the real thing

Cons for those who are learning
-Realtone cable - it can also be a pro I guess as it is plug and play - but the dependence on it is a con - see above
-Difficulty can go up/down too soon or late for your liking - no adjustment can be made
-Lacks a proper tutorial for loads of the options - but you will figure it out eventually
-"Rocksmith recommends" can be really useless
-No real career mode (like in the previous game) - No a huge con, but I liked it.
-Uplay - Just go away with your stupid unlocks

All in all, I really have to recommend this game for everyone. If you already know how to play and are set in your ways of playing, then Rocksmith might not work for you, but for everyone else, it's the best tool for learning and practicing guitar and bass I've ever seen! New song DLCs are released every week, so the repertoire keeps growing. I really like it for that. I now know loads of songs I would've never thought to learn and my technique and speed have really improved massively!

A BASS PLAYER's review

This review is aimed at bass players and those who will primarly want this pack to play bass.

The pack contains 4 songs by Social Distortion which are all played in Eb (E flat) tunning with a pick.

This is a pack I can only recommend to players still learning and wanting to consolidate their faster rythm bass playing or aspire to play some more punk. None of the songs are very challenging, but they would be great for a learner as they only contain the occasional slide, hammer or flick.

While most rocksmith packs seem to contain songs varying in difficulty, this one does not really have any song that stand out as being much easier or much harder. On bass, Ball and Chain and Bad Luck are easier than Reach of the Sky and Story of my Life, but only marginaly.

I think this is actually a great pack if you want to reinforce your punk bass playing, and you'll have 4 songs to do so which will allow you not to get sick of any one song. Outside of that, I can't really recommend it for players who are more advanced and don't want to play songs with more variance in it.

This game is just fun! And in the end, that's what I want in a game. I play to have fun, have fun on Goat Simulator, ergo it's a good game for me! The bugs are crazy and mainly I really LOVE the MMO simulator. Just worth playing for that!

If you don't think you'll have fun playing this, just don't get it.

So much fun! Yet so many crashes as well! Well not that many, but still quite a lot!

Anyways, this game is in keeping with the spirit of Dead RIsing and the new additions work wonders. I love the combo vehicles, the leveling up is better, and you just feel more freedom. Then it crashes, so save! Somehow still worth it to me, but definately can use some fixes.

Early Access Review
Lemme just start by saying this is a really fun game! Despite what it may sound like, playing a space janitor is a great laugh! You get to peave together what happened before it got to the cleaning stage so you create your own little story as you clean up the mess of alien attacks, or mutant experiments gone wrong. This is basically what the little guy in your computer has to do every time you reload a save!

This is a really relaxing game! Also the Shadow Warrior standalone is hilarious as you are actually cleaning up the first level of Shadow Warrior after Lao Wang's rampage.

I'd recommend this game to fans of the series and if the game is at least 50% off. Bugs have been fixed since this game has been released and is very playable now, but the lack of graphic settings is annoying and might just be enough to keep everyone except Turtle fans away. I'm a huge TMNT fan, and I was reluctant to try the game but it's fun! It's kind of like a 3D version of the old 2D arcade beat'em up. Unfortunatly this game does feel quite cheap though: it runs on DX9 and could use a lot of AA, especially during the comic narration scenes. It feels a bit dated, but you get to bash around bad guys as the Turtles doing cool ninja action moves!

Generic, oh so generic but somehow so refined and fun that it doesn't matter and you forget you're in just yet another bright coloured elven and dwarven world with weird purple people. The classes aren't exactly predefined, so you can be whatever you want pretty much whenever you need, or almost. Each class can take at least one of 3 roles, which means you can always be usefull in pretty much any group, meening your character chan't be phased out. All in all, it's a fun game with good mechanics that just work.

Best old-school type RPG I've played in a long while! A total must play.
