Update 30.06.2025
I was one of those people who had enough luck, that the games was running well enough to play it, but performance got worse with every update. Today after Title Update 2 it got unplayable. It's hard to reach 60 FPS in every location, so I have to change my recommendation to a no go. This game got from potential GOTY to an disgrace for gaming. Besides, what's so hard on putting an exclusive full screen mode inside and 16:10 resolution? Because I'm playing on a Laptop, I got this black bars at the bottom and top of the screen. How can you manage to make a game running much worse than Monster Hunter World, while it looks even worse than the older game. World was running perfect and even got 16:10 resolution mode.

My Game of the Year 2025, I'm a 120% sure that no future release can compete.
I can't relate with the bad reviews, because or me it runs perfectly fine since day 1.
Happy to see they went back to gameplay and look of Monster Hunter World, because I wasnt able to enjoy Rise enough to get past the Prologue.
The game in it's current state and content wise is much easier than World and Rise, which is to hook up more casual players. I don't mind this, as long as it gets a bit more challenging with future updates like the current missing Master Rank.
Now looking forward for future updates and till then enjoying this great game.

Thx for the positive review.
Good to see people who love wilds too.

Aside from graphics I dont see this as a return to world but more as a weird mix of world and rise? World was a lot more grounded, slower, required more patience etc. Monster tracking was a cool system with a good feeling of progression. This already got cutted away with rise and in wilds its even more dull due to the autopilot seikret. Can seriously not understand, why some people who enjoyed world but hated on rise now love wilds as I think wilds kept a lot of the bad choices of rise without keeping the good choices of rise too. Most people I know how enjoyed world a lot, are pretty disappointed with wilds, so its interesting to see.

The steam review culture again... people have 50+ hours starting their review with the literal sentence 'i enjoyed the game' and its a thumbs down because of some system that isnt designed in their preferred way. It makes no f sense, at all!

FYI maybe you dont know, there a two teams that makes monster hunter. one for the main games like world and wilds and the other for all sequels like rise. every new generation came with one main title and followed with two or more sequels. Next monster hunter games will surely not be like wilds.
