TLDR: the best city builder simulation ever built.
I grew up while building cities in Simcity 3000, then ruthlessly bombarded them with UFOs and other city horrors, all done in a magnificent soundtrack, the type you would expect from a Maxis game.

I only got to Cities:Skylines because I wanted to try Simcity 4, about 6 years ago, but I am using Linux now. I had terrible times trying to set up a SC copy with wine and some unsuccesful tinkering.
However, Cities:Skylines was already out, I never heard about it since then, I just filtered the games on Steam and have found the top rated city builder with a native linux client.

Since then, more than 1500 hours have somehow passed. It is hands down a labor of love and an amazing game to balance both creativity and relaxation needs.
Vanilla has its drawbacks, I only play with a few mods, as playing with too many of them will eventually lead to the inability to load an old city, because the mods will not be updated forever.

I wait for the day when the second game will be the true successor; on Proton I had pretty bad performance with it.

Thanks, Colossal Order!

A Cities: Skylines radio station which resembles some Maxis games music (The Sims – Build Mode / Simcity kind of vibe). Easy one of the best radios.

The first time I played this game:
-My PC didn't have a dedicated GPU and I ran Half-Life in software mode
-PC's processor speed was < 500 MHz, had maybe 128 MB RAM
-My internet connection was dial-up
-Counter-Strike was still at version beta 6 or 6.5
-I was in school

Compared to now:
-Well-built PC for gaming
-Broadband internet connection
-CS:GO is a competitive game played world-wide at a professional level
-I'm an adult who's gotta pay bills, taxes, and go to work

Lots of things have changed, but as far as this game is concerned, the most important thing hasn't changed: This game is still fun! Download it and enjoy!

You've got co-op teammates to be smacking around with a crowbar for no apparent reason (or maybe as a signal that they need to move), so get to it!

Learning is out of this world! Learning can take you places you've never dreamed of, including Mars and its two moons, Phobos and Deimos. No matter where we live, we can always learn something new, especially with teacher-heroes who guide us on our path, daring us to dream and grow!
